Kevin knowingly sold my 16 yr old son an unsafe car under false pretenses. He lied multiple times to get him to spend $6,000 on an auction car he got off a site from ghanda!! and threw on his lot without even checking over. He put him in an unsafe vehicle with no concern for his life. He was told that was every dollar my son had for a vehicle and he continued to lie and the car has been undrivable for well over half the time we've had it, which has only been a little over 2 months. He gave us his word that he would fix it if it broke down and put some things in writing but does not answer calls. During the test drive, there was a shake in the wheel and a light banging noise. I asked if it was the ball joints and he said no right away. A little later I asked if it could be tie rods because I had experienced problems with both on a prior vehicle and remember a similar experience. For over an hour he said that he had replaced the brakes. He brought it up multiple times. They were new brakes and that's why it was happening. The steering wheel was shaking and the noise was because of new brakes. He had shown us grease on the rim and said that it was from replacing the brakes. He wrote down that we could call if it didn't go away and he would put on new brakes, rotors etc. But he does not answer his phone. When we got the vehicle checked out we were told that it was indeed ball joints and the car is unsafe to drive. The brakes were never replaced. They were actually leaking something but not because he replaced them. They had less than 1mm left on the pads. The struts were also in terrible condition and that's something that he said that they checked out at his shop. He said the transmission and engine were in great condition. The transmission is done. We have a $10,000 quote after my son used his next paycheck to get the vehicle checked out and found out that it was very low in fluids, The oil was black and very very old and we were told that it had a new oil change. We were told that it had only been sold in the state of Wisconsin. It's been sold in Iowa and Minnesota and may have even gone to Canada. It's listed right on the title that it was sold in Minnesota. And it was used as a lease vehicle, which wasn't mentioned. All things that are illegal. Everything was lied about. And he still won't answer. So our only options are to go through the DOT, small claims court and file a lien against his business so everyone can see what he's capable of because this is unreal. I wanted to believe that he was a good business man but when you knowingly rip off a 16 year old...shame on you. Newspapers will be notified as well. This is disgusting. Oh! and we were told that he won't ever buy junk cars. He searches for really safe cars even if he doesn't make very much so after everything he would only make maybe $500 off of each vehicle. Apparently he doesn't know or care that the auctions are public knowledge and you can see how much he won that car for. It was less than half the price we paid. And he claims he goes through every vehicle. Full inspections in his garage. He made it sound like there's a mechanic there and they fully inspect every vehicle and they fix every single thing on them. Every vehicle they get, always gets a new oil change, New brakes, And if they need new tires they get new tires and everything else gets checked. Well it should get checked because that's kind of the law. But nothing did. You can tell because we literally went and got it all checked by two different mechanics. We went to a mechanic and then we were recommended to go to a Chrysler dealership because of the situation, so we did. We were told that this car was in very dangerous condition. So remember that when you get the go-ahead to drive away in a decent looking vehicle from Kevin Bolssen! My mind is blown! Vehicles aside, you could be injuring or killing people!
