I rented out a property for over a year before this so called "property management company" took over. After 2 years of dealing with their negligence and incompetence I was tired of it and recently moved. They refused to fix the basics of things until I threatened to hire the professionals needed for the jobs myself. Even after vacating, the broken windows, plumbing, falling Gate, and caved in roofing were not fixed. i reported these issues when they first took over and never fixed them. I would highly recommend any future Property Owners to not even consider using them as you "Property management" firm. They're horrible.

I rented from these people way back in 99 and they were completely awful then. The person in charge was fascist and completely unaware of the laws.

Set up an appointment to view a property from shayne, after arriving their at the set up appointment time, we waited their for 30 minites for no one to show up and them not answering calls or texts, only for 15 minutes later him text and say that they found someone else, no acknoldegment of wasting and entire hour of our day or that they never even showed up. Very unprofessional

DON’T GO THROUGH THESE PEOPLE!!!!! We had so many issues the two years we rented from them. We were told the house had AC which was a deciding factor in getting the house. First heatwave of the summer it was 115 degrees for an entire week, the AC did NOT work. We contacted them multiple times about it and they refused to do anything even though there were five people and animals in the house. When we finally threatened to get it fix and take it out of the rent they FINALLY sent someone to take care of it. This was a common occurrence with them. They refused to fix ANYTHING until we threatened the rent. They also stole our deposit. We paid for the carpet cleaners gave them the receipt and they still charged us for it on the deposit, and the part of the deposit that they did send us was an invalid check that we told them was invalid so went sent it back and three months later got the same invalid check. We lost out on $900 and they know they were in the wrong. PLEASE for your own sanity and to save your money go through someone else!

They are trying to charge me for moveouts stuff, such as carpets that were not cleaned. When I moved in paint that was damaged when I moved in no showerhead when I moved in that I had to buy my own to put in with me when I left and the craziest thing of all they’re trying to charge me for move stuff, after their maintenance guy stole my property went into my house while the house was still occupied while I was moving out and the neighbors next-door had broken into my house, stole from my house Not once but twice and they never evicted them And the only people that actually do something in this company are Ross, Pete and Jen the rest of them don’t do anything but hang up on you. Don’t answer phone calls and take 9 to 12 months to do any maintenance repairs

Rented through RC Schwartz for 2.5 years and it was a consistent battle getting maintenance requests dealt with, some of which were just ignored completely throughout our stay there. Upon move out we were informed not to contact Avista or the city to stop services as RC Schwartz "would take care of it". Ha! Yea right, we have now been charged for three months after our move out time for electricity and have been ignored by the company after numerous calls and voicemails. Avista failed us as well as we had to call them three times to successfully have our name removed from the property, but that is a conversation for another day. In the end we are on the hook for the bills and they have yet to contact us and cover the charges. One positive thing is that they are generous with returning deposits (probably because they didn't follow up within 60 days of move out). This is the only reason we are not taking legal action and covering the electricity charges.

Worst rental company ever! I rented from them for 3.5 years and literally had pigeons living in my walls from a hole in the roof. I spent a year making maintenance requests after maintenance requests. I finally took them to small claims court for the unfulfilled maintenance requests and guess what I won! Even though the courts ordered them to come fix items and pay me a judgement, neither of those things ever happened. They fixed the hole in my roof with insulation foam and trapped the birds inside, which then the birds came out through a hole in my kitchen and I had to get the pigeons out of my house. I have always paid my rent on time and been very professional even when I feel like cussing them out because they had my children living in hazardous living conditions without a care in the world. Ross Boatsmen does not care about his tenants or the conditions that they live in.

On Jun 23 2023 I sent a maintenance request to have my leaky toilet fixed and they never came to fix it. No matter how many times I contacted them it never got done. They dont even deserve a 1 star. I am now with Reese Management and my leaky toilet was fixed the next day. If you decide to rent with RC Schwartz you do so at your own risk especially when it comes to maintenance
