My build has finally come to a close. Coval homes was one of the true bright spots during this process. Every single person I came into contact with there was fantastic. Even so, my project manager Brandon stood out from the rest. He regularly kept in touch and was so helpful to us during our first home build. We’ve been trying to build our home for the last three years, and after a frustrating year with minimal progress and countless issues, we were beginning to lose hope. As first-time homebuilders, we had little knowledge of the process and found it overwhelming.

Then we met Brandon, and everything changed. He was patient, always answering our questions (no matter how silly), and took the time to guide us through each step. Brandon kept everything on track, offered great advice, and moved the project forward when we needed it most. His friendly demeanor and responsiveness to all our concerns made a huge difference.

Up front, we apologize for the late review of our experience with Coval as we partnered with them to make our dream a reality of owning a home a top notch, quality home as we retire next to our family.

Overall, the journey was stressful, but well worth it. During our build, we experienced significant family health issues with both our families back on the east coast, which added to an already stressful time. The following folks at Coval helped immensely to reduce our stress and helped to make the journey enjoyable.

First, Joey helped us get started as we settled on the Alderwood floor plan, which we absolutely love.

Paula kept us up to date on our finances throughout from start to finish.

When Michelle reached out to us about some new and exciting options, our home vision started to really come into focus. She was pleasant to work with, knowledgeable, and responded quickly to any of our questions or changes. Her guidance in building our vision was invaluable.

And, Miranda, when she came on board at Coval, always kept us up to date throughout the build, and continues to do so after we were granted home occupancy by the county.

The journey really moved into high gear when we were assigned Brandon as our project manager. We absolutely loved working with him. He is a straight shooter, honest, hard working, and professional. He responded quickly to any of our concerns, corrected anything that needed fixing, and stayed on top of the build every step of the way. If all the project managers at Coval are as top notch as Brandon, you are in good hands. If you are fortunate to be assigned Brandon as your project manager, you will enjoy working with him.

My wife and I purchased the 2734 floor plan, and we're happy we went through Coval Homes. We live in an area where all the homes are newer and built by 4 or 5 different builders. We get compliments ALL the time from our neighbors as Coval's signature oversize windows stand out among all the rest.

When I contacted Coval initially, I knew absolutely NOTHING about building a home. In fact, I'm not even allowed to do repairs at home :)! My wife banned me long ago..

Gary was patient and connected me with a knowledge Realtor who guided me through the process. I have since recommended Coval to everyone I know who are thinking about buying or building a house. It's a lot less expensive to build than to buy in this market, so to me it is was a no brainer.

Like any major project, there were a couple of little bumps in the road, but my Project Manager (ED) handled business and made sure things were taken care of to my satisfaction. Ed was on top of his game, and his attention to detail and customer service was world class.

6M post-move-in update: WE LOVE OUR COVAL HOME!! We have lived in our home now for nearly six months and we remain highly impressed and appreciative of the lovely craftsmanship, as well as how climate-efficient our home is. Now that the summer heat has arrived, we are so grateful for the standard HVAC that Coval offers with their homes. Family and guests who visit us rave about the functional and beautiful floor plan/design (we built an Alderwood). Building our home with Coval is one of the best decisions we have made; we loved sitting down with Miranda to spec out our plan, then working with our PM, Clif, while the build was in progress. Thank you, Coval, for helping to make our dream of building our own home come true!

When my husband and I were ready to build our home we looked into a few home builders. We picked Coval because the people were responsive and knowledgeable. The quality was higher end than the other competitors. We built the 2301 Alderwood and are very happy with the completion of our home. From foundation to carpet Michelle had our home built in 115 days. If you ask me that is fairly fast! She was very helpful and on top of all the projects.
If we ever chose to build a house again we would definitely pick Coval!

We hired Coval Homes to build our home in the Eatonville vicinity. Our on site project management was very poor and our project manager was not onsite often. Luckily we were living onsite and were able to catch much of the issues before it was too late. The house was finished and closed out with out any staff from Coval Homes coming on site, we did not have any Coval Homes project managers or any staff on site since the house was 70% complete. The warranty stage is where we began to have huge issues and continue to have issues. Coval will not stand behind their work and are trying to say that everything was installed correctly. See the pictures below of the lifting of the sheeting on the roof due to inadequate space between sheets for movement. Also the sheeting was not properly nailed to trusses. Also pictured is the amount of sheet rock nails that popped over the first winter, there were approximately 70 that had to be repaired. Coval states that there is no issue with the roof, if you want your brand new home to look like this then go ahead and use Coval. I would not recommend Coval Homes for anything. Please pass the word onto anyone who is looking for a builder that Coval Homes will take your money but not guarantee their work.
