I lived at Nakoma Towers property for five years, starting one month before Shimanski took over. I was preparing to break my lease with the previous owner due to a complete lack of management and cleanliness.

The way things changed immediately after receiving notification was unmistakable. The dumpsters stopped overflowing, the loud parties stopped, maintenance work orders were immediately responded to with positive results. The maintenance guy they had for a while was named Jimmy which I thought was funny because, like Jimmy John's, he was freaky fast.

I enjoyed my time living here - I'm really going to miss it.

This is my second year leasing with Greg Shimanski, and it has been a great experience. Susan and Jennifer are always super helpful, and the maintenance team is quick and efficient. The buildings are well-maintained and safe, which adds to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend leasing with them!

Sad to leave the cutest and quietest property out on Middleton. Susan was very respectful and responsive. I only had to have maintenance done a handful of times and they were always timely and communicated as much as they possibly could. I stumbled upon Gregg Shimanski while browsing my living options in Madison. I previously had such a poor experience with Madison landlords and wow did Susan and her team show me how things should really go. I recommend checking them out and thank you for all that you do to the team at Gregg Shimanski!

Lived at multiple apartments in Madison and this was the best company I've stayed with. We loved our time here. The place is clean and modern. New appliances. Very quick maintenance responses. Parking is easy and snow removal is taken care of right away. They always respond to emails and calls. We had to move for work otherwise we would be staying here longer. Thank you again!

Update: I have lived here for 7 months now and I still have zero complaints. Maintenance is always super fast and nice, they keep the grounds/parking lot well kept, and they're very willing to help with the things that you need! Cheap rent and good apartments. I highly recommend!

I haven't moved in yet but I see a lot of reviews about professionalism and rudeness and I've had absolutely zero issues! I'm brand new to the area so I've been asking Susan a TON of questions and she has been nothing but amazing! She always answers within 24 hours and is always so willing to help. She's even called me at her home when she isn't even in the office. The prices are great and the company is great!

I've been a Shimanski tenant for about 5 years. Gregg and his property manager, Susan, are outstanding managers from my perspective. The building is very well maintained as are the grounds. Whenever I've encountered a problem (very seldom, actually) it's been attended to promptly and effectively. I've had the opportunity to interact with about a half dozen of Gregg's staff over the years and I'm very impressed by how professional, hard-working, and personable everyone is. The other tenants in my building have been terrific. Some have become good friends. That's a testament to Susan's careful selection process, I would guess. Gregg seems to know how to hire and keep good people. I'm quite happy with my experiences with the Shimanski property and family.
