This is by far the best property management company I have ever dealt with. Kevin, Maintenance is very good at what he does with repair work. Missy, Office Manager is more responsive than you could imagine, and a complete joy to interact with. I live in a highly desirable area, they don't have to operate at this level to get tenants, but they do anyway. If I'm going to pay rent in downtown Madison, it's going to be at a Grindstone property. Cannot recommend enough.

As far as apartment life goes, after living in a single family dwelling for 13 years, I thought I'd hate it. Grindstone purchased our building shortly after we moved in and we have now made it to 12 months under their ownership. THIS IS THE COMPANY TO RENT FROM.
Nothing anywhere you go is perfect but we get responses quickly, compromises when it's fair and spoken to like friends, not like we are a dollar sign. We are regularly reminded that they prefer communication, even if a complaint, over not knowing what's going on. I have never felt so comfortable allowing people to come and go without me home if I need something done as I am Kevin and the other Maintenance staff too. The office/jack of all trades around is Missy and she's friendly and trustworthy.
Truly consider Grindstone when looking for your next home.

Grindstone purchased my apartment building last year. We never have had any contact with previous owner. This company has a great maintenance crew and issues always get addressed. The owner communicates with tenants and lets us know of any changes that may occur. So happy to have a hands on owner instead of a management company
