Was here at 2:30 am. It was really great. The Aurora above was breathtaking. Almost ran over a raccoon. Then I went home. You should do this too.

A beautiful place when the weather cooperates. Great views, large varieties of birds so if you are a birder be sure to stop in. Only minor setback is few access points into the marsh itself. Not a big issue, just the nature of it.

A little girl and her older brother were visiting their grandfather's farm. The older brother decided to play a trick on his younger sister. He told her that he discovered a man-eating chicken. The girl was frightened, and ran inside in fear. Then the older brother heard his little sister scream. He ran inside immediately. She was screaming at their grandfather, who was chowing down on a plate of fried chicken. "What is it?" he asked. The sister turned to him in fear and said," It- it's- IT'S A MAN EATING CHICKEN!!!"

The area itself is beautiful, although there's not much to do. The problem is all the single men hanging out in their pickup trucks in the area. I like to walk there for exercise, and to take pictures, but the last time I was there, I was approached three different times by three different men, one of which was hindering my ability to continue walking by positioning his truck in my way. My choices were to jump into the marsh, or try to walk the other way. Luckily, another car was coming and the truck had to get out of the way. He sped up and zoomed away and I never saw him again. I felt pretty uneasy and have not returned. Probably should have reported that. There is a boat dock there, with access to the Rock River. It's kind of a desolate, pretty unremarkable place. I don't know why all those guys are hanging out there, but that blew it for me.
