I had the pleasure of calling a McBride Companies apartment home for two fantastic years, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The apartment's location was a dream, with the Capitol just a short 10-minute walk away, and the serene lake a mere 2 minutes from my doorstep.

The pricing was fair and well worth it, considering the apartment's excellent condition and amenities. When I moved in, it was clear that McBride Companies takes great pride in maintaining their properties.

What truly sets them apart is their exceptional service. The staff was incredibly kind and genuinely cared about the tenants. They were always quick to respond to any inquiries, ensuring that any issues were addressed within 24 hours. Repairs were handled promptly, often on the same day or the next, leaving no room for inconvenience.

I can confidently say that McBride Companies is the best landlord in Madison. If I ever find myself back in the area, they will be my first choice for accommodation. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an outstanding living experience in Madison.

My wife and I rented a house from McBride Companies for four years, and had a wonderful experience. We loved living in the house off of Willy St. Our rent was very reasonable, and the location was fantastic. From the day we moved in to find the house cleaned and freshly painted, throughout the four years we lived there, the house was always very well maintained. The team at McBride always took great care of us, responding quickly to any requests for repairs and staying on top of routine maintenance, including replacing furnace filters, water softener salt, summer lawn mowing and winter shovelling. Our sidewalk was always cleared off immediately after snow. Requests for maintenance were addressed next-day. We loved renting from McBride, and only moved out because it was time to purchase our own home. Thank you for a great four years!

I lived for two years at their Wiedenbeck Warehouse location and loved it! Great price for the clean, peaceful, and pretty property. Particularly noticed their excellent maintenance. They were always very responsive to requests. In one case, the detergent lid in our dishwasher stopped closing and within 1 or 2 days of us submitting a maintenance request, they had installed a brand new dishwasher for us! Thank you!

some of their apartment buildings might be a little older, but they will always try to fix or help any situation in a quick and timely way. Very responsive and they have never raised the rent unnecessarily during my many years as a tenant. One of the last few honest landlord companies out there, stay awesome!

I can't say enough about how happy we were to rent from McBride Companies! We lived in two different buildings owned by this company and both experiences were outstanding! The apartments were well maintained and in great shape. If there was an issue, the staff was very quick to respond and make things right. The buildings were clean and very safe. With so many options to rent near campus, McBride is definitely a great value and fantastic place to live downtown. I would highly recommend visiting their website and visiting a location that works for you.

I wish I could provide more than 5 stars, because the McBride Companies truly rate higher than that. I lived in my apartment for 14 years because I just could not imagine renting from any other company. Phil and Sandra are the best - always kind and fair in responding to questions or issues. I've never had landlords who treated me wish such care and respect. If any maintenance issues surfaced, Jim and Ryan were there quickly to diagnose the problem and then fix it - usually on the very same day it was reported. And they were always kind and very friendly during their visits. Along the stay in my apt, I adopted two cats so we all needed a little more elbow room and a permanent home of our own. But if I ever decide to rent again, I will go with McBride and continually recommend them to my graduate students. 10 stars!

Rented from this company for 3 years. McBride is very well managed and clear in their communication. They'll provide advanced notices before apartment tours and services. Twice over the years, I forgot to have my parking tag up and they did give me warning before towing my car, so hopefully this experience is consistent across all of their rental buildings.
The service person (Ryan?) is very friendly and good at his job. All maintenance issues were resolved promptly.
Lastly, they did not pull the typical landlord move of deducting a ton of money from your security deposit upon moveout (I got some deductions, but they were reasonable and with clear photo evidence). This came as a pleasant surprise as I have rented from 3-4 different landlords over the years and almost all of them made shady deductions that you would have to contest with move-in photos.
So yeah, this is one of the rare "good" property management companies out there.

I have lived at McBride point for 5 years. The location is excellent location, and the building and units are very well maintained. They always keep the common areas clean and they are very diligent about providing routine maintenance. They fix any issues promptly and the staff is friendly and supportive. I have never experienced noise issues, and the residents I encounter are mostly young professionals. It is an excellent place to live in downtown Madison.
