Great selection of houseboats. The boats are on the older side and could use modernizing, including better hot tubs with stronger jets and filters to self clean out small debris. The AC units are fantastic when they work. The AC drains the battery extremely quickly even with the engine and generator running for 4 hours as recommended. Lastly, the mule service is FANTASTIC - TIP THEM WELL.

We rented the Corinthian houseboat from Jones Valley and I will never go anywhere else to rent a houseboat. The staff, everyone we encountered from the phone conversations in renting the boat, the clear directions on operating the boat, the help we received in moving our supplies on and off the boat were exemplary. The level of customer service was greatly appreciated and very refreshing in today's world. I highly recommend this business!

The first day we got there shortly after we launched, got into the main body of the lake and smelled electrical burning. Immediately turned back around and headed back to the dock. They ended up half and do transfers to another boat. All the staff helped and it was done within 5 minutes or so. Ryan definitely took care of us made things right. Look forward to going back again.

Can I rate this a zero? The first time we came here, it was a disaster. We got there on time, and waited for 5 hours for our house boat to be “cleaned”. We finally boarded our filthy boat, it was dirty. The photos on the website are inaccurate. These house boats are worn, and not well maintained. Going through the door, the screen door falls off. That’s the start of a list of problems. We finally return the boat, on time, and wait for several hours to be helped, never happened. Finally just left, and told them to send us the bill for gas. The customer service sucked. Regardless, we thought we’d give them a second chance. We called ahead multiple times to check on the air quality. Both of my boys have asthma, and as we approached California it was getting increasingly smoky. We were reassured that there we blue skies at Shasta. So we continued driving for another 4 hours to arrive at a smoke filled crevasse where the air quality was rated as dangerous. Confused we asked several people leaving, who said it had been intolerable for days. So the owners were lying. With our previous experience, not surprised. When we asked why they would mislead us, they went on a rant of why we weren’t going to get our money back. The house boat we we’re supposed to rent, looked just as dirty and gross as the first one we rented. Decided to drive back home and forgo the entire trip. Read the others reviews, easily the worst place to get a house boat on Shasta. Do NOT go here. You have been warned.

Great houseboat rental. The only resort that has quad squad. Despite some check in snafu, the staffs are great. This is our 5th year for a 7 days trip. We are looking for our next year trip! Thank you Jones Valley Resort for a memorable time. Stay safe!

Rented a houseboat for 7 days. The sewer system on the boat was NOT good. It smelled bad from every area on the boat the entire time, from the first day and even after we did a mid-week tank change. The house boat was not that clean (spider webs, dirt, etc.) things falling apart. Stingy with supplies (TP, cleaning supplies, and plastic garbage bags), we had to buy own garbage bags. They want you to clean the boat before it's returned and provide no cleaning materials. The mop they provide was like 100 years old. I will say that the staff is nice. They worked hard in the heat to get us loaded and unloaded and the process was nice from the time we arrived, where to park our cars, and when we left. But, I don't think we would use them again based on the cleanliness of the boat and the sewer system was unbearable.
