If I could give this company a negative or zero-star rating, I would. My experience with CIMS has shown a troubling tendency to manipulate homeowners for profit while avoiding responsibility. The constant turnover of property managers--each one unprofessional and difficult to reach--has only added to the frustration. (Jeff Peterson is the current manager)

It seems that the contractor, Gerald Stater, and the HOA board are working together with CIMS, consistently undermining homeowners' rights and well-being. This review is aimed at upper management, which has been completely lacking in integrity.

In 2023, we faced a major financial dispute with the board over their irresponsible actions. By 2024, urgent repair needs have arisen in my unit and those nearby, putting our health at risk. Licensed contractors and inspectors have determined that the sources of the leaks are located within the building's shared walls, and therefore not the homeowners' responsibility. We're dealing with issues like kitchen drain leaks affecting three stories, mold growing in the hallways from high humidity, dead rats and snail shells in the ventilation system, and mold on shared walls due to water leaks from the exterior.

This company deserves to be held accountable for the damage they have caused to homeowners, including health risks, financial losses, distress, and the countless hours spent dealing with disputes. Their dishonesty and lack of transparency have only added to the harm.

HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. The property management company and the HOA board appear to operate with a calculated disregard for homeowners' needs, prioritizing profit above all else. Their consistent lack of accountability suggests a deliberate strategy to evade responsibility while benefiting financially. Many residents feel as though their concerns are systematically ignored, creating an environment of mistrust. This troubling alliance between management and the board raises serious questions about their commitment to our community's wellbeing.

Extremely unresponsive when I’ve had concerns or needed service as a property owner. I called about a leaking overhead fire sprinkler in my garage and it took 3 calls just to get a response. Was told they’d send out a subcontractor from our fire alarm company to look at it. They never sent anyone, and I’ve never received any follow up over the past 2 weeks.

Another time I needed to get documentation for roof repairs while trying to switch to a new homeowners insurance company. I called twice and emailed twice, never got a single reply / call back. Ended up getting the documents I needed from another homeowner. I really do wonder what we’re paying for?

The quality of the management team at Common Interest Management who manages our community has taken an extreme nosedive the past 6 months. The recent staff turnover could not be less responsive, efficient, productive or basically perfunctory. Expect a simple bid request or project to take years longer than it should, and to spend more time doing any actual work yourself.

If you enjoy being charged for no actual management services performed, no communication, no care or due diligence provided to your community as its client, these are the guys to call ... if only they would return communications.

Our Board just booted Common Interest and I wish they did so a long time ago. They have no respect for others in responding in a timely manner with residents requests. They have an automated email saying they’ll get back to you within 1-3 business days which is fine if they actually would respond. Minimum they would respond in 2 weeks and if you don’t get the right paperwork or details from them it’s another 2 weeks or more you have to wait. Try calling? Forget it. They won’t bother calling you back or they keep trying to route you to one person who doesn’t get back to you. The person working for our specific property was Miranda Keith. She would never respond or return your calls. The least she could’ve done was respond to your email saying they’re doing a, b, or c just to give you an update, but no. We weren’t the only residents irritated by her work ethics. Why give HOA fees to a company who doesn’t want to do their job? Glad we’re done with them. If you have this company as your HOA now please look for another asap that actually cares to do the work and respect the residents time.

I'm a real estate appraiser and when appraising condos we have to contact management companies to get info on the complex in which the property is located. Usually management companies are not vey cooperative or don't respond at all. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Nancy Hatcher in your Escrow Dept. on a couple of occasions. Both times she has not only been cooperative and quick to respond, but very pleasant in doing so. I just wish all management companies worked with appraisers as well as yours does. Better be careful or you're going to give management companies a good name!!

Brenda and the team at Common Interest Management have been more than helpful with my requests over the years. Brenda is great at responding to my emails and phone calls. When I need assistance with a parking or landscaping issue I find the team to be genuine, straightforward and courteous. Thanks again, for being professional, responsive and accommodating!

My HOA fees was silently increase by $25, and only after 6 months they notified the underpayment and charge me for $480 ($330 as the late fee)

I requested for waiver and asked for reasoning for lack of notice and insanely high charge. The response was very slow and inefficient. I have been trying to contact them for 2 weeks, making numbers of phone calls and emails. Their passive reaction really makes me annoyed and unhappy.
