Very well designed place in a good location. The complex is structurally maintained well, rooms are relatively big with a nice view of the bay from the eastern side of the building.

Now the downsides:

* The complex is "managed" by a company who doesn't seem to care much about the occupants. Most of the communication is pardonless and impersonal. A management employee will be giving you orders over e-mail twice a day, just like a member of the wwii german nazi party;

* You are expected to pay extra for water, sewage, and trash every month. That charge started at $40/mo and is approaching $200/mo nowadays for a 1br. Charges are calculated every month in secrecy; no explanation given. It's used as an alternative source of revenue for the complex owners;

* You will be force-charged $25 dollars a month for a "valet trash service". You leave your trash in front of your apartment door and every night someone walks it down to the trash room. As a result, the hallways smell of trash 24/7 and the hallway floor is permanently soiled with trash leaks.

* The column right in front of the main entrance is an unofficial dog restroom. This is the first vertical object on the way out where dogs naturally hurry up to pee on after holding in for long time while their owners were at work. The later do not realize that the first real tree is just 20 feet away.

* The on-site laundry machines are no good. They were recently "upgraded" which is an euphemism for upping the price and decreasing the water + energy usage. As a result the "wash" mostly distributes the dirt on clothes as opposed to remove it.

* A considerable number of the tenants are weed smokers and they smoke inside or on their balconies. Be prepared to ventilate your apartment from the smell once a day.

* Management installed a huge steel locker cabinet for packages in the main entrance hall. Besides staying in the way, it tracks your package traffic and metadata on it is collected and most likely sold by the "free of charge locker" company to the highest bidder.

The major at windsor apartments in Belmont is what good managers are made of! I've been to several different apartment. 14 to be exact. And out of all 14 different apartments and different city's. If you have ever met someone for the first time and know this is a good person. I walked in her office and as I walked closer I over heard her talking on the phone to a tenant. The tenant was loud and a bit upset. I don't know over what. I do know this by the time the manager at windsor hung up the phone. I could her the lady apologize to the manager. H she came down from her apartment and apologized over and over. I don't know why. I do know this. Out of 14 managers I talked to looking to rent a apartment. None of them made me feel like this is the place for me. That is with out a doubt where I will be living next. She answered all my questions. And answered lots I didn't think to ask. I walked away feeling like the manager at windsor apartments Jessica really cares about the tenants. Every manager I talked to all acted like I was bothering them and we're short in responding to my questions. I wanted to write a review on all 13 different managers and where they are. After talking with the windsor manager Jessica. I decided to write just this one! If you are looking for a apartment then you need to go see Jessica. You will know what I am talking about when you talk with her.

They charge high utility fees(water + sewer + trash). I think it is because they water the plants around the building every day so the water bill is very high. Sewer and trash bills are high as well.
So if you are doing apartment hunting and comparing prices, please do take utility fees into consideration.

This place is the worst..Bill the manager does bad business. He will keep your deposit and some. I wish I never moved in.
