DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. It is rare the I feel compelled to write a negative review for a company, but in this case the fraud of Hang Zen needs to be addressed. My grandmother booked with Hang Zen, and was completely taken advantage of. She had regular communication about the property she wished to book starting a year in advance, and received a confirmation email with the wrong property. She immediately emailed and called, only to be reassured by Steve, the property manager, through email that he corrected Hang Zen's error. Sadly, within 10 days of her vacation she found out that Steve had booked her in the wrong home. Again, she communicated with them in vain to have the error corrected and was met with their response that there was nothing they could do but offer her the incorrect property or the correct one if she could change her vacation dates. She was extremely concerned that the incorrect property had stairs, and being elderly this would place a huge constraint on her and my grandfather. Upon arrival, the condition of the incorrectly booked home was unbearable and the stairs were a tremendous burden. She left the home after two days and contacted Steve for a refund. The company has not returned her emails or phone calls. Avoid Hang Zen Properties.

DO NOT BOOK with this company. I have never written a poor review. We booked a family vacation last February (TEN months before our trip) and paid the deposit for a home. We paid in full in September (for our end of December vacation) and were sent an email end of November (five weeks before our trip) cancelling the house and luckily refunding our money. No reason, nothing. What this did is cause us to go into hours upon hours of work trying to find another home for 11 people that wasn't thousands of dollars more. Oahu was 98% booked by that time and we did not find a home. We are now in 5 separate hotel rooms and about two blocks off the beach, compared to one home across the street from the beach. Multiple calls to Steve as well as emails have not been returned. The home we had is showing as booked so due to the demand in Hawaii with the terrible storms in other destinations we can only assume he broke the contract to rent to others for more money or for longer stays. Cost us several thousand dollars more to land in hotel rooms and eating out. What a terrible company. I would never trust them again and wouldn't have ended up here if our flights weren't already booked as well as tours. Poor business practice.
