I rented from this company in 2020 and was VERY disappointed. The owner, Rachel, was one of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with. Bryan always spoke down to myself and my roommates. The house had sooo many issues, electrical and flooding. They would do quick fixes over actually addressing problems.

Take this review with a grain of salt as I haven’t interacted with them for 5 years.

I would give this company zero stars if that were an option. When inquiring about a rental property I wished to view (requested a tour via Zillow), I was informed there was one applicant ahead of me and that I needed to submit an application if I was interested in the property. I did as I was instructed, including paying the $65 application fee, and then waited to hear back from them as to when I could view the property. I inspected the property from the street and called the number listed on the signage in front of the property only to be informed that it was a non-working number in Canada. After 5 days of waiting to see if I heard anything regarding a tour, I called Access Real Estate Services directly, and requested another tour of the property. Only then was I informed that I had not needed to submit the application and fee if all I wanted to do was to view the property. Also, they would not refund my application fee (as I had already suspected). I'm just thankful that I found a property that does not utilized this particular company. A slightly expensive lesson to learn, but lesson learned indeed!!

They have a property that has sat unrented for nearly 3 months. When asked if they would ask the property owners if they would allow our medium sized dog (small dog only listed on Zillow) or a price reduction, they wouldn't even entertain that idea simply repeating "this is what our client gave us".

I urge you property owners to find someone else to handle your homes. Every other property management company in the area I've spoken to has reached out to their property owners and we've come to an agreement but the availability dates of their homes just haven't lined up.

This company stands alone in both not helping future tenants and not trying their best to get their client's homes rented. Three months of lost business, let's keep that number going!

Edit: Just noticed they are one of the LOWEST rated companies in the area. My 5 minute interaction with them lines up with this rating.

Edit after owner's pathetic response: You guys have a 3.4 rating. Nearly every other PM has well over 4. Do you pat yourself on the back every day or just when you're in denial of the truth? No one is under any obligation to do anything. I'm simply spreading awareness that there are much better PM companies to deal with.

I've been renting from Access for several months. They were upfront, transparent about the application and move in process. I've had one repair request that was taken care of immediately. All of my inquires, concerns etc have been responded to very promptly. Emails answered within the hour, or less. The manager, Bryan is courteous, professional, and most importantly i think, understanding of concerns. They are by far the best management company I've ever rented from.

Company is very shady. We will be filing a small claims case against them. I have pictures and videos of how I left my apartment on move out and when I got the invoice for my deposit I got back 168.00 out of 1100. Said they had extra cleaning fees because it was left “dirty”. Extra Carpet cleaning fees when the carpets were brand new as I have rugs covering the entire place and was only there a year. Also the property I was in used the owner of the property for maintenance so the owner was in and around the property all time checking in on people. But they don’t tell you that who it is. Office manage Brian is not helpful in anyway and the team he runs is lacking knowledge on how to do their job. On move out I was giving no paper work for updated address and when I called to ask where and when I would be receiving my deposit and invoice they said they sent it to the last know address, that was where I just moved from. So they sent it to the place they knew I would no longer be and failed to reach out. I would highly recommend another company as they are awful at doing their job.

They are wonderful. So easy to work with and they get back to you quickly if anything is needed (maintenance, etc). Best property management company experience I've ever had.

Update-But just wanted to add to my original review what a pleasure it was to work with everyone at Access Real Estate. My lease is ending as of tomorrow due to moving out of state. We rented with them for 2 years & are truly sorrow we couldn't continue with them. We truly had the best experience with Access Real Estate. They were communicative, professional, understanding, and prompt. They are the ones to check out first when looking for a rental!

Over the years, we’ve worked with a handful of property management companies. Only been with Access for a year now, but we are impressed and here to stay. Bryan is so easy to work with. The communication with us is excellent, and I can only imagine he provides the same level of service for our tenants. We never have to wonder what’s happening at our properties and always feel like a valued client (even though we don’t own multi-unit complexes.)

We have had Assess Real Estate Services manage our rental property for over six years now. Access has been great at contacting us whenever a service issue has come up and coordinating repairs with the service providers and our tenant. Bryan is easy to work with and has taken the work out of being a rental property owner. Their paperwork is always timely and complete and their management fee is very reasonable.
