Horrible establishment! This nonprofit organization mostly helps “Somalian” folks. Also, they are helping their friends and family that are not in need of service! Manager Shirwa abused his position throughout the whole time I was enrolled with AHCD, took me through an emotional roller coaster, gave me false hope, which ultimately put me in a worse mental state than when I reached out to him. I have reasons to believe this organization is conducting many illegal practices, that could/will lead them to legal battles.

I have been trying to establish contact with this organization for two+ months, as I was assigned to them through King County's ERAP program. King County has been randomly assigning emergency eviction protection cases to various participating Housing organizations/charities to disperse CARES Act emergency rental funding awarded to WA State, regardless of the fact that this is an organization focused around African clientele. I possess zero African descent.

I've received one email from my assigned Case Manager, asking for my phone number. I've included my contact information on every single form & every voicemail. I've used their online update form. Their voicemail request system. More emails. My God, the emails.

At this point there is no excuse.

This organization does not help everyone, they only help their friends and family and people they already know. I took a women there that’s in need of help and Aden Hussein refused to help her and yelled at her and treated her very badly and was telling me in a very loud and angry tone “why did you bring her here” he is very disrespectful and acts like it is him that’s gonna give her the aid money and not the organization and all this is because she’s not African.
