We started renting 2 years ago. I had been complaining of a weed smell lingering in my apartment for 2 years !!!! Staff did absolutely nothing about it. There’s no parking available after 4pm, we always had to park far from our unit. I was constantly worried about my car being parked far due to the constant break ins with other resident vehicles. There was always trash on the ground. I’ve ran over dog poop in the parking spots, with that being said no body cleans after their dog. My dog got fleas from the dog park TWICE. The pool was always closed for majority of the summer & opened for about a month out of the year & with that it was constantly getting closed for “cleaning” or “maintenance”. Walls are paper thin. The plumbing is horrible. My dishwasher had fallen out of the wall & hit me !! Maintenance came and comes to find out it was attached with 1 screw and glue !! after that they “fixed” my dishwasher which no longer had worked. I made yet another complaint & took over a month to get a new dishwasher. The only reason i’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the maintenance worker Hector, he was amazing, & always so kind and apologetic meanwhile 9/10 times the new staff can come off condescending or just straight up have attitude for no reason. i would never refer anyone to these apartments.

For a new apartment complex, the units look nice, a modern design, focused towards the winter months, but with the feature to connect a movable AC unit hot air duct to the wall instead of a window, or window unit. However, that is where the good stops. We really wanted to move into these apartments before we arrived in the area and decided to start our lease a month before we would even arrive. That was thirty-one days of rent paid while we were not even staying at the place.
After moving in, things were going okay. The dog park was still new, nothing was in it, and we met some great friends there. There was even a larger park to the east with a walking trail. However it was all down hill from there. We vacated the apartment in less than two months from all the stress on our lives, and our dogs lives that led to a rapidly declining health condition for one leading to euthanasia for their sake.
The disasters started as more tenants begin to move in. Next door a young lady moved in with her two dogs, and would host parties late at night during the week leaving her trash outside the door, and her dogs to bark outside on the patio all night. Informed management about the issues, and they continued with photo evidence.
When a family of seven moved in above us, four kids, three adults, the problems intensified. The adults would leave the kids home alone from early afternoon to the early next morning. It often sound as a WWE match going on above us. Politely informing the adults of the noise intrusion into our apartment, they seemed understanding and willing to be more considerate of the activities they conducted. The noise did not cease and intensified. Having made more than a few calls to management, who often said it was a by product of living in apartment, the families made false accusation of breaking and entering against myself and other residence, while the noise levels remained beyond a reasonable level. Management did not resolve the issues.
Another incident that involved a poor management system and neglect of tenets; there was a situation where management accused a tenant of discharging a firearm on property and reported it to Police. A shell casing was “found” but never turned over to Law Enforcement, and no cooperation with the Bremerton Police. Accused tenant was actually at work the night of the so called incident. Last I heard the Police department dismissed the case from lack of cooperation, and no evidence of a firearm being discharged on property.

Ambrose Apartments are a great addition to Bremerton, and I’d love to see more properties like this in Kitsap. With several of our customers living here, I’ve noticed how well the community is designed for both residents and their pets. The fenced-in yards are a nice touch for families with small children and dogs, and the well-maintained sidewalks and trails make it easy to get outside. I often see people walking their dogs or enjoying the open field behind the complex, which adds to the neighborhood's welcoming feel. If you live in the H or J building, feel free to say hi when you see us around—we’re out on Paw Patrol 🐾 every week, keeping the area clean! 🏡✨

So far my family’s stay at Ambrose for the last week has been really good with exception of the maintenance request that we made. We had a problem with our dryer drying properly. Every load took atleast four cycles and they would still be damp. My gf put in the maintenance request and the response was very prompt which we appreciated. They showed up the same day basically as soon as they opened. I was at work so the maintenance assistant was only there while my gf was here. She explained that the dryer isn't drying normally and we don't know why. He responded with: “I just replaced this for the last tenant so there is nothing wrong with it. It gets hot so it should dry properly. You are probably doing it wrong, these are small dryers so maybe put less clothes.” And then left. None of the suggestions were bad, but there wasn't any attempt to actually troubleshoot as far as I know. A few days pass and the dryer still doesn't work at all so I decide to look at the owners manual online, maybe there is something we’re missing. There is actually a troubleshooting section of the dryer manual. I look and there is about ten different reasons it could not be drying. Several are to do with exhaust/venting. I pull the dryer out to see if the exhaust is filled with lint maybe. Turns out the exhaust vent goes all the way to the floor before coming back up to connect to the wall (which looks surprising like the non-example the manual gave of how to vent it, but I’m not a dryer technician so who knows. Definitely not the main problem here) . I looked inside and there was nearly a gallon of water in the exhaust ducting essentially creating a U-Trap like a toilet that was keeping all the exhaust from leaving. After dumping it out and reattaching the duct. The dryer worked perfectly good.
None of this is to say the maintenance person is bad I'm sure they are very smart and good at their job. Be this as it may, I think if they took a little more consideration into our complaint and actually did some troubleshooting this problem would have been solved days in advance. It was very simple problem to find and resolve.
Thanks.

The dishwasher drainage hose was clogged and this was causing the water to overflow into the sink and onto the cabinet. I placed an order and they responded same day. They were quick and professional. I appreciate them so much.

I have rented here for over a year. I signed the lease because the grounds were nice and the staff was super friendly and supportive. Little did I know.
The hot tub basically hasn't worked for 2 years and the pool has been closed more times than I can count.
The walls are paper thin and my ADA unit is designed like an auditorium. My neighbors hear literally every move I make. Unfortunately I didn't find that out until AFTER I stopped having a male friend come over and men in the neighborhood had started harassing me for dates. I have to hide inside my apartment so the don't bother me.
Somewhere close to a year in, the staff also completely changed over and the new manager is the most heartless, uncaring and cruel person that I have met in a long time. She tried to blame me for the neighbors hearing me and threatened me, saying I was violating my lease. I pleaded with her to investigate the echo, but she refused and continued to harass me.
Smoke floods my apartment day and night. When I reached out, telling management that I think it's someone in their unit becayse no one is outside smoking, they refused to do anything about that either; even though it's a non smoking community. They sent out emails and said that's all they can do.
The units are connected via air ducts in multiple places and my neighbor's air floods into mine. I think they are drug users because they have the heat on and a humidifier running, even in the summer, so I have to constantly run my AC regardless of the temperature outside. An hr after I turn it off I start sweating. Before they moved in, the building was always nice and cool.
I have had PTSD for a long time, but I can mostly get by. I am so damaged by the events that have taken place here that I have been unable to work. I went through my savings and now have to seek help from the state. When I told management, they issued me an eviction notice for the day after my psychology evaluation. THE DAY AFTER. And said nothing else. They didn't even offer advice for how I could get help paying the ONE MONTH that is going to be late. I had to struggle to seek help and find out where to go on my own. Still trying to find it.
I strongly advise that no one rent here.
EDIT: The management did not even respond to me when I had a noise complaint of my own. I was also seriously harassed by multiple members of staff. Zero concerns of mine have been addressed. It is clear by the owners response that they have no idea how bad their staff is. Nor do they seem to care.

Jason was helpful and informative. Got the job done 👍hector did his best but we still have beeping.no one has come to fix the blinds. Problem was not fixed and no one called to let me know they were coming. I have a cat that I have to lock up before I can open the door

Updated review.
It is obvious within the last few months that the office is staffed with entirely new people.
Our experience at these apartments declined soon after. Office staff failed to follow up with phone calls and emails. We moved in March 2023 and moved out July 2024. Little information was given when I inquired about what was required by us to move out.
The upkeep of the common areas and gym declined as well. As someone who used the gym almost daily I had a first hand experience with equipment being broken for months. Equipment was hardly cleaned, a layer of dust lived on most of it.
At first I loved these apartments. The office staff was so friendly and attentive. They were maintained well. But it was a slow decline to the point of not enjoying living there anymore.
My previous review is below. That review was written in 2023 when the office staff was a completely different group of people that were wonderful and greatly missed.
Hands down the best apartment complex in the area! All of the girls in the office are amazing! They're friendly, knowledgable and always get back to us right away when we need anything. Maintenance staff are also great and always know just what to do to fix any issue we're having. Ambrose will always be the apartments we recommend to everyone.
