Had a bunch of carpet demo scrap. Loaded it all into a uhaul and easy in and easy out!! The positive - A fair price I would say to dump as much as I did. Plus you gotta love just toss and drive away kinda of place.
Negatives, if you have never been here before the signage on where to go is terrible to NONE! Wow…then you need a mandatory reflective vest. 5 dollars to buy one at the scale if you don’t have one….yes I bought one they leave you no choice. Well better than getting plowed over.

I went to the eagle river landfil earlier today, 14 Oct 24. I was greeted by a middle aged man. He asked me what i had to dispose of. I handed him my wife's army ID. I told him cardboard from tvs, rubber mats, and some other trash. He asked me if anything hazardous, lithium batteries and so on. I said no. He asked where did the load originate from, I explained palmer. He handed back the ID to me. Said it has to originate from the anchorage manicipality and take my trash back to the valley and proceed to slide the window closed in my face. I have been going to the landfil for the past 10 yrs. I have never met a more rude person working at that facility. If I were his boss I would fire him. His customer service sucks and his attitude is worse. Jokes on him. I still got the trash into the landfil and he never knew. Lmao. Show me in writing where a authorized army member can't dump their trash in the landfil if they don't live in the anchorage manicipality. I looked all over for it and I can't find it. Again, the worst attitude I have ever seen from an employee at the landfil. He needs to be fired.

I’ve not had a good experience and the last few times I’ve went, the staff have been nothing but friendly! Free recycling offered, hazardous waste dumping offered, and general refuse dumping offered. I believe they also have a greens refuse area part of the year.

They did a free military POV weight ticket for us. It was straightforward and easy. If you need to get your weights for a DITY or partial DITY move, this is an easy location to get it done.

Always a gamble as to whether or not I'll be able to unload. Not sure what is worse, the horrible treatment of customers, the ever changing ridiculous rules about garbage, or the ignorant employees that think they know the actual rules & laws. Absolutely terrible (and overly complicated) process for a simple task.

Followed my co-workers to help unload. They would not let me park inside property to help them unload. Told me I had to park way over at the park and ride in walk over. By the time I got over there my co-workers had already left off and I was unable to help them unload lady was very rude about it and even rude to my co-workers to them. I do not recommend coming here unless you have to. The people here are very rude. Wednesday 9:27 a.m. May 31st 2023

What is the deal with the stench. It has never been this bad in the past on the highway or an eagle river. I remember being able to smell it sometimes especially on certain weather days. But now every single time I drive past the way stations. I can't breathe and I know i'm not alone
