Appleton Rentals is by far the WORST company to rent from. I rented a place from them to run a business. I paid a double security deposit that’s required when you want to use one of there properties for a business. I moved out of the property 15 months later. The place was in the same condition as when I moved in. When I turned in the keys they gave me a slip to fill out with my forwarding address on it. 21 days go by no communication on my security deposit. I filed a small claims case to get double due to they have 21 days to send me my deposit with any deductions. They failed to send me anything. I called to ask why hasn’t my deposit been returned they lied and said they had no forwarding address. But you have my phone number to reach me. Two weeks after my 21 days they decided to call me and say they had my 21 day move out letter. I decided to see what it was. They gave me $1500 out of a $4000 security deposit. They want to charge to sweeping and mopping. Taking down blinds. Minor things that you’re required to do for the next tenant. They think people are stupid and don’t know the law. They also did this to my sister who was just in court and won against them. Please do your research before renting from them. There places are over priced and not worth what they’re asking. They have incompetent staff who can’t answer simple questions and lie to get you off the phone. There maintenance workers have also stated that they are scammers and they don’t pay there workers and it’s a high turnover rate in the office. Please be aware of this company!!!

This rental company is absolutely horrible my best experience with them was paying my rent monthly as long as you paid rent for the mice mildew infested house you would hear nothing from them . Where do I start first my furnace kept going out in the winter time I would have to go days at a time before they would come fix it asking m a hey degrees the furnace says instead of fixing the furnace. I would put a maintenance request in and they would takes months to come out and then half fix the problem. I had a mice infestation several times and the only thing they did was bring mouse traps I had to order a big box of mice traps from a mouse crawled in my stove that I purchased and died and I hen I call them all they can do is be rude and give me the run around. Nicole me that the general manger is busy with tenants that currently live there and if I want to take them to court then I should do that .. they ere supposed to come redo my bathroom due to the mildew the painted over dirt tub the toilet and hands coming from under the house and they never fix nothing they took my whole security deposit and added a whole bunch of Fees my account . This company had been through 3 different management companies .. I have several outstanding maintenance request they have yet to come fix and I’m not In the house and the worst part I feel bad for the next tenants the raised the rent from 1099 to now it’s not 1700 and the house was not worth the money I paid .. they should be careful who they mistrat you never know where people work or what connections they have but they will learn real soon ..this rental company makes fake water bills and raise the price they are crooked please do not rent from them !!!!!

Appleton rental homes isn't a good Rental agency to return from and I'll tell you y. My name is Robert Bickham I've lived in Milwaukee all my life and I've never gotten ripped off of my security deposit until now.I moved into one of Appleton rental homes at 2830 w boblink Ave Apt 21 Milwaukee WI 53209 on 11/1/21 and moved out on 5/30/24 the reason I moved out,I own two cars and they where both damaged in the parking lot while I was at home asleep one was hit and the other one was broken into all in less then tow months,I found out the kids that was bracking into the cars live in one of Appleton rental homes right down the street, I reported to Appleton rental and they did nothing or said nothing to the people ,so I put in two months notice to move out.I moved out on May 30th 2024 and I've been trying to get my security deposit back every since.I took them to court on August 26 2024 they did't show up for court so I won't the case they was ordered to pay me 1496.00 by the circuit court of Wisconsin and still to this day I have not seen a cent of my money. I've called contact 6 for help and Chanel 12 news and they still haven't responded to them.Be careful they have stolen my money and they will steal your money too...if you're already in Appleton rental homes if you decide to move out, live out your security deposit because if you don't you will never get it back real talk to my people don't get played like I did, fight back because this rep off ain't over I will continue to fight for mine and my people.Power to the people don't get played by Appleton rentals live out your security.

I’ve rented from this rental agency for a very long time. The staff that’s in the office, I never had an issue with. I talk to everyone as how I want to be treated. I just recently had work done on my home and the maintenance staff has always been kind and got the job done. Although ,recently I did have to wait some time for my maintenance request to get done. It wasn’t a huge issue for me. Nevertheless it’s affordable & I do plan on staying for awhile.

Appleton rental just took over my apartment a month ago and this has been absolute HELL! They had people come replace our toilets, and when I got home there was no toilet seat on there. I tried calling and there’s no emergency line to call. I could not sit on my toilet and had to wait the next day for someone to put a toilet seat on there. They gave us a 12 hour notice to change all locks. They handed me a key as I was leaving for work and told me I was all set to go. I come home from a 8 hour shift and i’m not able to get into my own home. The key do not work! And again there is no emergency line to call. I had to break into my own apartment through my window just to unlock MY DOOR! They are unprofessional & unorganized and can careless about they residents! I hate it here!!!!

UPDATE: I decided to sign my 60 day notice instead of signing a new lease with them. These people done added ridiculous charges to my account just so they wouldn’t give me my security deposit back. One top of that I owe an additional $200 dollars but the most important question is what lease did i sign with them? This company needs to seriously be investigated, they are scamming people!

HORRIBLE rental company. They have increased residents rents by $500 a month. $6,000 a year increase to force residents out so they can get more rent from new tenants. Their business behavior is abusive at best. These people do not care about their residents. Only how much they can squeeze people for.
