I had a very pleasant experience working with Corina. She showed me the space, clearly communicated pricing, and answered all of my questions.
I ended up putting a $750 deposit down as soon as I left. Unfortunately, we changed our desired location and ended up requesting a withdrawal of our approved application after a few days. The deposit was returned to us via check within two weeks.

I love how clean the property is. The color and design of the building is to die for. Whoever designed it did an AMAZING job!
The spacious apartments are close to grocery stores, starbees, and chipotle. Last but not least, Corina and Aliah are great! Super nice, personable and talk to you like you’ve been friends with them forever. I can’t wait to move in next month! I can’t forget Sherman he’s amazing and friendly!

Beautiful place smack dab in homeless town. I saw a crack head literally lighting a pipe coming towards me. Outside the beautiful, artsy building was a homeless man's home, garage bags full of clothes and trash right out the apartment window. I thought not paying 3,400 with a garage dump view. They also ask for $800.00 up front before you get approved, and I read many people have a horrible time trying to get their holding fee back. They've replied below say I needed a grantor, the problem was 13 points shy of 700 credit score, I wasn't comfortable with allowing them access to my bank account when the property management, Greystar has a 1.3 review, and countless complaints on the BBB for not returning residents security deposits. I jad no evictions, I made enough but I refused to give them access to enter my bank account. I suggest you read about the property management and if you don't care about integrity or your money, then by all means. They It's really like a fast food restaurant. Once they get your money, they ignore emails and messages. It's all "fake, sign the lease friendly." it is a beautiful building just too much real danger outside. Clearly their response was made to discredit my experience, they have the worse reviews which are consistent with theft. Research the company for yourself. I didn't need a co signer, I chose not to grant your company access to my account. I gave you multiple ways to verify my information.

My experience here at Assembly has been awesome thanks to Corina and Aliah! I love the 2 floor gym!!! (My favorite amenity). Being able to walk across the street to Sprouts or next door to Grocery outlet is wonderful. I will definitely be renewing my lease!

When we first moved in the team was great, the place was kept very clean. Once Greystar acquired the building they stopped responding to emails and stopped cleaning the roof/dog area, among other things. Our upstairs neighbors were dumping dirty water onto our balcony, we asked management multiple times to help, they even watched it happen, and the day we moved out they were still dumping dirty water. Likely pet waste due to smell so a health issue that was apparently no cause for concern. We moved out in February, it’s May and we’re still waiting on the return of half our security despot. Corinna and Aliah claim it’s coming from corporate and they can’t do anything about it.

Parking is $250/month yet no one parks in their spot so you get >2emails/week of the exact same text telling people to park in their spots. So glad the outrageous rent is paying these people to copy and paste an email that is having such great effect. The gate will go down, and allegedly they can’t get parts to fix it over the weekend which will result in car break ins. Of course the apartment is not liable for this and you better cough up the parking fee plus the cost to fix your broken window.

They absolutely nickel and dime you on gas, water bills. The building is apparently “LEED-certified” but we were paying twice as much than we do now in our 1950s 3brd home.

The area has gotten so much worse and the costs to live here is nowhere near worth it.

1.Aliah, Corina, Victoria, John, and Sherman are all an all star team.
2. They gym is the best apartment gym that I've ever had
3. The rooftop deck is fantastic and you can even see SF.
4. The club room was perfect for parties with video games etc
5. It's flanked on either side by two grocery stores, starbucks etc.

My daughter has lived here in a 2-bedroom for two years now. My husband and I frequently visit and make use of the guest bedroom. Mike is an excellent leasing manager, and Ashley is also outstanding. Following a widespread power outage, Mike and his staff were efficient problem-solvers and attended to the issue immediately. This is not an isolated occasion; in practically every instance where an inconvenience or safety concern externally occurs, management does everything so that Assembly remains safe and smoothly runs for residents. The staff here are friendly, personable, professional, and quick to respond when an error does happen. We are incredibly pleased with the service and can assure prospective residents that the money is well worth it. Throughout the past couple of years, we have witnessed many move-ins from families and couples dissatisfied with other luxury apartments in the area that find a home here. We even happen to have distant relatives that stay on the same floor as us, unbeknownst to us! Assembly attracts some of the best people and has undoubtedly improved our Oakland/Bay Area experience!
