It’s definitely not worth the price living here even if you get first month off because you can find a safer and luxurious place for lower or same price. expect an extra $300-$400 each month for utilities, water, sewer, trash, process fee and pest control. Your rent will be raised $10% after your first contract expires even though they will list the exact unit at the same or lower price available than you have in your current contract so it’s definitely not worth it for long term and there is no loyalty at all. You will be charged $200 cleaning fee, $150 carpet cleaning no matter how clean or dirty you will leave the apartment. make sure to negotiate and request proof and official statements for your move out charges since I was able to have them at lease reduce what they overcharged for.
Not very safe being in Brentwood and not recommended.

I only did the tour at Avery and that's where I noticed major red flags with the office management. I called and scheduled to tour the unit 2 weeks in advance since I wanted to get unit quickly. however office lady called me 15 minutes prior literally when I was on my way there to cancel the appointment because there was some issue to be fixed and did not give me timeline when it will be fixed. I was speechless by how unprofessional this was. the person working in office seem inexperienced and was not able to communicate with us efficiently. the Units itself is ok and clean.

I am not a current tenant at Avery but I did have a really good experience with the office team when I went to tour. It is my first time looking for an apartment and Maaeva made sure to explain the whole renting process. Unfortunately, it is slightly too much for me but I did really appreciate the time the manager took with me. I hope to rent here soon.

Very nice places! Vanessa and Laurie are two great office managers and whom are quick to respond to questions or concerns! Very quiet and well kept!

2-3k to live in middle-of-nowhere Brentwood on the very outskirts of the Bay Area? And the apartments are dated? No thank you. Plus right across the street from Liberty HS where there are constant fights, shootings and robberies in the area.. Can't begin to imagine how they justify these rent prices.

My review is ONLY on the current Maintnance issues I have had… no one is perfect and we all have a good and bad days but I will say I appreciated the technician Ricky completing more items and I asked them to on my work order. I get very busy in the minor things I can forget to ask for. I also would like to thank both Maintnance crews for helping with my hot water today… I brought it to their attention that it was not working since Friday and they got it resolved within a couple of hours thank you very much!

Also There is a new maintenance man I forgot his name unfortunately but I literally was taking my garbage down the stairs he ran to me and took my garbage from my hands as I pleaded with him not to take it but he took it for me and threw it in the trash as I think he saw me struggle…thank you

Sometimes we tend to say all the bad stuff and people forget to say the good stuff that happens so thank you very much for the good customer service with our 2 newest Maintnance hires !!!

Although we haven't had too many issues here, the apartment complex was recently sold. It is next to impossible to get a hold of anyone at the front office. I typically have to bother the maintenance man via emergency phone line to figure out what is going on.

Most recently the water has had to be shut off for emergency purposes, as I understand this was an emergency (the first day), like I stated above, it was very frustrating not being able to get anyone on the phone at the office. I have two small children, so getting them together and walking to the office isn't always an option. They were unwilling to offer water at the office for residents to come pick up. I know they will not reduce rent due to this inconvenience, and we are required to pay a portion of water here. It's upsetting that it felt like the management office didn't know how to handle an emergency.

Prior to this company, maintenance was next to invisible. One of our bathroom sinks still doesn't fully come out right, we are unable to switch from tub to shower in that bathtub as well. We've gone without light bulbs being replaced and many other issues not being addressed. It looks like a newer development, but it was probably just remodeled and quickly/cheaply.

Most residents keep to themselves, and the gym, pool and playground are hardly used, so that's a plus! There are not enough washer/dryers for how many residents are here, one room for the whole complex!

Disheartened by the bad reviews. I saw Avery’s posts on Craigslist and the place looks nice and is touted as the best place to live in Brentwood. The rents are even more expensive than other places in the east bay that are closer to the Bay Area. If the reviews, taken as a whole, are true with management issues, parking, mail theft and rent costs, I am apprehensive to check out the place. 🙁
