Baldwin lake is located in Big Bear CA and is located at the top of the San Bernardino Mountains at around 7000 ft . It has riding trails, Horse stables, Old miners mines, Off road 4x4 trails. The trails go all the way to pioneer town and connect to ( Cactus flats ) all of the camping grounds and trails. The air quality is clean with less humidity and no smog. The mountain air smells like heaven especially when it starts to rain. In the summer time the temperature is perfect for those lake rides and picnics. There is less condensed trees in this area of Big Bear which lowers forest fire dangers. It only takes about 5 minuets to drive to ( bring your Boat ) the Big Bear lake from Baldwin lake and fifteen minuets to go down the back side of the mountain on hwy 18. This gives you the near by drive to the city's of Palm springs and Las Vegas, the River and Pacific ocean. . If you like to snow ski the slopes are just a 10 minuet drive.
