Bay Cottage is a very welcoming and experience oriented location. They focus on you relaxing and enjoying yourself in the simple but luxurious feeling ways. There are so many personal touches. There's a private entrance to the private beach and you can sit out in the garden and watch the sun go up or down over the bay. Absolutely the best place to be.

My husband found this gem on the internet and booked us for 2 nights based on the reviews. I can honestly say this was a highlight of our journey through the state. The owner, Ed greeted us with a smile, amazing homemade cookies, and a great overview of what Port Townsend had to offer. Thanks to him we eat at some great restaurants!! The property is secluded with beautiful grounds and direct access to the beach. The view from our cottage deck was great. We hated to leave and want come back when we can stay longer!

Bay Cottage is a beautiful, restful and romantic getaway. We were greeted by Ed, the host who is warm, inviting and even baked cookies and had them set out in our cottage. There are actually three cottages here to choose from. The beach is private and surrounded by beautiful homes. Port Townsend is a great place to visit. It is rich in history, great parks, old forts, a lighthouse and quaint shops that will leave you with a desire to return.

Bay cottage is vintage best! Two bedrooms, one bath, lovely view from deck. My sister and I have spent 3 vacations here. Well stocked kitchen, great front porch. Ya just fall in love with the entire property! Jenny's cottage is adorable, perfect for a couple or solo time. Large patio sits above the beach, grill is for your use, as well as a fire pit to enjoy an evening outside. Discovery Bay is accessible via a solid stairway, off the patio. You can wander for hours, and rarely see another person. Unless you own or rent a vacation property, there is no beach access. We have explored the peninsula, up, down, and sideways, PT. Townsend city center, is about 20 minutes from the cottages.||||Now, another gem, is Ed , the proprietor. He has become a friend, who we look forward to seeing, each year. He is a gracious host, tending to every detail, down to the sherry , to sip before bed. ||||Absolutely book a cottage, you will come away feeling better!! And planning your next visit🙂

The perfect getaway for two teachers after a long and stressful school year. The grounds and location are absolutely stunning. There were birds and a bunny to greet us in the morning, and beautiful sunsets at night. The innkeeper, Ed, adds so many extra touches. Freshly baked cookies, fruit, juice, coffee, pancake goodies, and a lovely sherry. Sitting on the porch, gazing at the bay after spending the day exploring Port Townsend was a near perfect experience.

We visited in April and had a wonderful stay at the Bay Cottage. It was roomy and bright, and visited by hummingbirds every day, which was a treat. The view to the Bay was gorgeous, and the back porch was a perfect place to relax with a book and coffee. The beach was all ours, and we went down several times to look for shells and sand dollars. Ed was a great host, always available to chat, to see how things were going, and make recommendations for eateries and local places to visit. We loved PT so much, that we spent our whole time visiting the town, the gorgeous Victorian homes, its shops, and local scenery, and didn't have any time left over for Seattle. We will definately want to revisit Bay Cottage, for another relaxing vacation on the water.

Four families came together, three generations, to celebrate Bob’s special 70th birthday! What a wonderful place to spend this time together! Our host, Ed Kirkpatrick, was so welcoming and accommodating! The cottages were charming, containing everything we needed to feel at home. The beach on the Discovery Bay provided constant entertainment, from the eagle that visited, the sea otters playing, the sand dollars to the quiet bay waters and paddle boarding. It was truly a slice of heaven!

Bay Cottage was a complete delight. We shared the two bedroom cottage with my sister-in-law for one week. The view of Discovery Bay was beautiful. Ed, our host, was helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect for attending a wedding in Chimicum, easy access to Port Townsend and Olympic National Park.
This is where we would want to stay when we return to the area.
