I recently had a very negative experience with Belong Homes. After touring an apartment and paying the application fee, the company unexpectedly raised the rental price by $95/month the next day. This bait-and-switch tactic is not only unethical but also incredibly frustrating.

Furthermore, communication with Belong Homes was impersonal and frustrating. Dealing with a generic support team through online chat or email made it difficult to get timely assistance or address concerns.

I'm still trying to get a refund for my application fee, but have yet to receive a response. I strongly advise potential renters to avoid Belong Homes due to their unethical practices and poor customer service.

Wonderful people to rent with and I had great experience navigating through their site. My concierge person was pleasant and easy to help me with my needs as a renter with them. They were always there to help me and my wife with our concerns. They were very protective with our needs and concerns after we moved in.

So much is wrong with this company.

1. They promised a certain rent price to get their listing. Then told us the price is too high. That's after they supposedly ran chomps. They reduced the price by about 20%. Incompetent? Maybe, malicious? Maybe. In any case unprofessional

2. After they got the listing they came in with a bogus inspection asking us too pay thousands of dollars for things that are either not needed or very easy to take care of. after we pushed back on it, they told us that not everything is needed but just recommended. Something they didn't say before. I got my guys to do the work for several hundreds of dollars, way under a grand.

3. Then they came up with a mandatory cleaning. They gave us 1 price of over $200 for a 2+1 unit, after the unit was already cleaned by our cleaners. We begrudgingly agreed.Then after they did it, they charged over $300.

4. Throughout all this they kept changing representative on us literally we went through about 5 different reps.

5. After all these charges, and after they reduced the rental price that they "researched" and held the unit empty for months, they told us that we don't have enough insurance to "their standards" and that it is "in the contract". We decided we had enough with them and wanted them to cancel our contract. Guess what?....

6. So, once we asked to cancel they told us they will charge us $1950 for breaking the contract. And guess how they justified it? You got it. "It's in the contract'.

It's been now over 2 months that we asked to cancel they still didn't send us our money, not the application report and paperwork of the tenant they got in.

If this is not a ripoff, I greatly don't know what is.

I dealt with real estate for 30 years, dealing with lots of management companies on many projects.

I never encountered such a thing.

Great advocacy on the part of our Belong Coordinator Spencer who arranged an extension of our lease with the homeowner. This will make it possible for our son to finish his education in his home school which is a great fit for him. Cheers to Belong for great service. You are the best!

Beautiful Townhouse and the host was amazing had lots of information about the property which I appreciated made me feel comfortable with walking around and exploring the unit really appreciated the experience.
