My family had a very bad experience with Granville Belterra. Months before we had a reservation advance fee of $10k and Weeks before our scheduled transfer (2nd week of Sept.) to our new home we already have paid more than 20% down payment to their accredited mortgage company. All thé documents needed to let us transfer to our new home have been submitted and their employees at their model house have a copy of our schedule transfer. We have also coordinated a month before with our former apartment landlord our transfer to our new home based on thè schedule given by Granville Belterra.
The day before our scheduled transfer the sales employee informed us that they can not allow us to transfer the following day because the mortgage company have not given them the issued advance payment for the house. We showed them all the payment and we know they have a copy of everything but for this developer it doesn’t matter. We explained to them that if we are not allowed to transfer the next day or two then we have to pay for another month with our current apartment and worst is I'm about to start my new work the following week. Delaying our transfer would be a disaster to me and my family.
i pleaded with them to even just let us transfer our personal belongings even inside the garage. I told them that we will not go inside the house and will give back the key to them after allowing us to just occupy the garage.
They did not let us even occupy the garage.
After a couple of days when the mortgage company have cleared everything with Granville office they finally let us in.
unfortunately we have to extend and pay our former landlord, adjust my transfer of our appliances and belongings at nights because I'm already working.
The company is not concerned with the new home owners. Their employees are not responsive to your needs.
They will not follow up for your first month warranty check of your new house.
The auxiliary system and alarms were not set up. until after 3 years in the house no personnel even bother to check if everything are working fine. I found out lately that some of the electrical works are worst workmanship i have seen. My family regret buying a house with this developer.
They are only concerned with your payment.
We are planning to sell our house to look for a better developer.
