I moved out of a Berkshire property over a year ago and now as I am trying to rent a home I found out they are claiming I owe over 1,600. I owe them nothing. Every monthly payment was given on time and move out fees were paid as well. This is outrageous. No answer from anyone at the apt complex except that I have to speak with corporate, but corporate seems to not exist as I have yet to receive a call back. They have ruined my rental history so I will be making this a legal matter.

Berkshire recently bought out my neighborhood & only made it worse. They do not respond to concerns from tenants. Made it impossible for tenants to pay their $2000+ rent when they took over. I have mold that nobody in the office wants to respond to my email about. Nobody ever answers the phone, either when you call their Boston office (aka their only office) or if you call Sancerre directly. No one is ever at the office in the neighborhood either. Trash property management & trash management company. Negative stars if I could.

This company has some very shady practices and has screwed over myself and other residents at various properties. Just check the reviews at their properties. Here's a review of my own personal experience with them:

Be careful when you move out. They will not send you a move out statement, call, email, or any type of bill and instead send you to collections without giving you a chance to pay your bill. They will also refuse to show you the pictures they claim to have of damage to the unit.

And good luck getting a response from them...

Incredibly disrespectful leasing staff and hidden fees. When I challenged these bogus fees they threatens me with a lease violation. Overall a very bad place to rent from. Tried to get the corporate number from the leasing staff and they can me the number for berkshire Hathaway instead.

I've lived on a berkshire property in Tx by the name of the allure which is located in cedar park Tx for a while now I have to say that I'm very disappointed at how some and only some of the employees are treated. There is obvious favoritism among the management and a select few of the employees that work on property. I would have to say that if you can help it please do not subject yourself to living at a property that is currently under management of berkshire residential investments.

I have lived at Berkshire’s property in Frisco, TX since January and I couldn’t be more disappointed with my experience. I have tried repeatedly to contact management outside of the property and have been unable to get a call back for months now.

They refuse to grant requests for reasonable accommodation, even with provided medical verification. They are a predatory, discriminatory organization.
