i don't know why anyone would rent a motel when you can stay at these lovely cottages in Big Pine. . the cottages have everything you need for a pleasant stay. i know cause i was a tenant for 2 months. each cottage has a living room with a sofa and television with free direct tv. has a bedroom with a queen size bed and a closet for your clothes. bathroom with shower. also these lovely cottages have a kitchen with a full size refrigerator and a full size stove including any utensil you can possibly need. and free wi-fi internet. i would recommend the Big Pine Resort Cottages to anyone. and the price is right too!

This really is a great place to stay. I am a local journalist and it is one of the places that I recommend to friends, visitors, and even relatives, that come to this area. Many foreign tourists stay at the cottages and they just love it, as do most of those that have ever stayed at the cottages.

The Big Pine Resort Cottages are also PET FRIENDLY! Don't leave your best friend at home! While the decor is not fancy, the vintage furniture is homey and comfortable. Many people staying at the cottages like the unpretentious atmosphere of the area and the lodging. The cottages have full accommodations with a living room, full kitchen, and one bedroom with very comfortable queen-sized bed at a very affordable price. One of the cottages, Unit #5, (subject to availability) has two-queen-sized beds, and a futon couch and futon chair that can accommodate a good number of people. It also has two baths in addition to full-kitchen and living room/dining area .

There is free Wi-Fi and cable television for those that cannot leave their electronic toys at home, can't stay away from work, or simply cannot miss their favorite television show even while on vacation. There is also a wash room available onsite for guests.

Outside there is a courtyard with a gazebo complete with lounging chairs and a picnic table. There is even a barbecue grill available. The cottages are conveniently located right off the 395 Hwy and there are several good places to eat, a grocery market, and even a hardware store at the Mobil gas station. The people are very friendly in this little rural community, so expect to be waved at by lots of complete strangers. And there are a lot of wonderful places close by to go hiking, fishing, touring, wildlife viewing or even camping if you are so inclined.

While there is no onsite manager, the owner and the manager both are just a phone call away.There is no problem contacting someone should the lodger have any questions or needs anything. The customer service is outstanding.

The cottages have a long history going back to the early 1930s serving as lodging for fisherman coming to the eastern sierra to enjoy the famous trout fishing. With the White Mountains to the east and the majestic Sierra Nevada Mountains to the west, nature lovers enjoy spectacular scenery.

In short, if you are coming up to the eastern sierra, give the Big Pine Resort Cottages a try. It is a great, affordable place to stay.
