After 7 years of rving...this place is the worst! The park doesn't support any activities. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years were not celebrated. The park maintainance people are very rude and don't do anything. Restrooms are always filthy. 25 MPH on main road is required!!!! Drugs, drunks, and dust are very bad because no one waters the road. Maintainance people will run into the side of your truck and get away with it. Just don't tell the owners that the park paid for all damages. California people like this place. Not the NORMAL people.
Don't waste your time and money at this place. There are a lot of cheaper and much better places than this just down the road. The people working here are scamming the owners out of some easy money. Especially the Camp Host. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Getting mail is impossible because they do not have the whole address on there web page, nor do they bother to give it to you at check in. When i inquired about mail, she was short and not helpful AND never made sure i had the needed po box numbers that are listed nowhere!!! I used the address from their web page and I had ALL my very important packages returned for incomplete address that they never bothered to give to me or put on their web page. Unbearabley unbelievable. What a nightmare.

This place has gone downhill in the last year. They fired the only good maintenance person and replaced him with two inbred tweekers. They no longer have an electrician on staff and the electric grid is garbage. The water gets shut off multiple times a month. There is trash everywhere. The river is actually more of a swamp, super dirty and smelly. The road has no gravel. There is no access to clean drinking water since the machine broke 9 months ago and they are too cheap to fix it. Yet they raised the rent even though the conditions are getting worse. They condemned the public kitchen too. No upgrades or improvements since I've been here. Lots of ex-convicts, degenerate gamblers and toothless alcoholics. The owner Allen is a total slum lord. There is not one good thing about this place. Stay away!

Upon arrival I noticed the trailerโ€™s awning had been removed and I was not advised when I reserved it 2 months prior |There was no shade available of any kind |The entry way stairs were on an angle and the handrail was made out of 1/2 inch steel pipe which as we all know it gets extremely hot and so it was useless during the day |At night there was no outside lighting to illuminate the stairs which makes it a safety hazard |Upon entering the trailer 1/2 of the lights were not working |The water pressure in the shower would have been a stretch to put out a match|which means NO shower in the trailer |The a/c was not adequate enough to maintain a cool temperature within the whole trailer which made it unbearable to attempt to sleep |The grass area was dead in front of the trailer |We left a day and a half before we had planned because the trailer was not livable |The furniture was not something I felt comfortable sitting on and I have provided pictures of such |I was a customer of this RV park for over 30 years in which I had my own trailer|Due to health conditions I basically had to sell my trailer |I wanted to go back after recovering from my health issues with the possibility of considering buying another trailer but after this experience I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PARK!|I was EXTREMELY disappointed !|It was my wifeโ€™s first time ever going to the river and it was ruined by the horrible condition of the trailer which I feel should NOT be occupied by any human (s) |So if you are planning a trip to Big River RV park - BEWARE ! Do not rent the trailer in space #161

Friendly and well kept park. I imagine it gets pretty boisterous in warmer season but it was very quiet and peaceful during my visit in December. Can't comment on the facilities because I didn't use any of them, just a short stopover for me and my dog.
Met and spoke with many senior snowbirds like myself. If this sounds dull to you that's just fine, for me it was pretty awesome. Pet friendly, they have separate dog parks for the for the big and little guys. Staff and everyone I met were super friendly and helpful, I look forward to my next stay!

We enjoyed our favourite winter spot yet at Big River RV. My wife and I cannot thank the wonderful staff and all our new friends enough for making Big River a special place that we look forward to spending our snowbird vacation at for many years to come. Many thanks to the staff, Cindy, Robert, Missy, Darin, Mike, Heidi, and Gillian. All your hard work and efforts to go above and beyond are so appreciated. The location, sites and low key facilities are great. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Cheers and weโ€™ll see you in the fall, ๐Ÿ‘ Tony and Michele

The park itself is okay, nothing special but we happen to enjoy being close to our family who all own mobiles above. The bad part about this part is the corporate management. We usually spend about 8-9 months a year in the park and twice we have left and gone to another park because they constantly have new managers. We are relitively quiet and keep to ourselves but one of the managers about a year and a half ago would be nice then would get drunk at night and ride around the golf cart and yell at people because corporate told her to tell people stuff. They DO NOT care about your business. When we left a few years ago because they were giving us a hard time about keeping our trailer nice our spot remained empty the entire year and they didn't care. I guess they would rather have empty spots then guests. Laurie is terrible at customer service and so rude. During this current Covid 19 issue she told us that even though we were unable to use our space for the month of April that we still had to pay full rent. She continues to hire and fire people on a regular basis resulting in constant problems and management changes in the park. We had a good park manager named tiffany for awhile who not only did a good job managing customer relationships in the park, but also worked hard to make improvements to the park and do upkeep. It's sad because it could be such a nice park but the rude management and poor corporate leadership make this a constant mess to deal with.
