We had a pleasant experience with Bluekey Properties. They came highly recommended while we were searching for a place. Al was accommodating with our schedule, making it easy for us to view the property. He was always just a phone call away, promptly returning any calls or texts regarding our questions or concerns.

Would not recommend! If I could give 0 stars I would. First off there was an unknown water leak, not from my negligence, that the city had to call and notify me. I call BK and let them know. They came out and was gone in 15 mins. My bill had increased over $150 due to that water leak. Everyone in that office gave me the run around. Then said “oh just send statements of your bill and they’ll make an adjustment” I literally got nothing. Never talked to anyone but the guy in the front office. Then they kept all of my deposit for painting a bathroom that was never even painted before I moved in. I cleaned my entire apartment whole as well as steaming the carpet myself. And you know what they did Did it all over again and charge me for it. Bluekey Property and its owners suck SSA! Glad I left Troy, everybody just money hungry!

Would not recommend them. You will not get your security deposit back from them. In fact, they say I owe them money for normal house cleaning, painting the living, and replacing the smoke detectors. $793.00 worth of expenses.

I absolutely loved living in a BlueKey Property apartment during my time in college! They were always so kind & quick to respond & help! Everybody I met who worked with BKP didn’t treat me as just a tenant, but instead as a part of the BKP/Troy community!! I couldn’t recommend them enough!

My husband and I enjoyed our time at one of BlueKey's properties. I would highly recommend renting from them for anyone looking for a place to stay in Troy. They are willing to work with you if issues come up. I knocked off a star because we had to communicate multiple times in order to get anything accomplished - but things got accomplished eventually. Other than that, I have no complaints, they are the best that Troy has to offer.

I had the pleasure of being a tenant of BKP while I was in college. Any issues that arose were dealt with quickly and efficiently. After I rented from them, they helped me find and purchase my current home. I'd recommend them to anyone that I know looking to rent or purchase a home in Troy!

I am writing this review with great disappointment. With all the apartments out there, finding the ideal apartment for your college student is a daunting task. We decided on Former Street because of the location and we felt the management would be responsible and take care of any issues experienced. We did have a concern that our daughter moved into apartment that had been lived in for three years and was taking over the lease of another girl. We were assured that by Bluekey management that all issues were taken care of.

I don’t even want to give Folmar St, the Management company and the owner a one star. I spent a year trying to get things fixed and or replaced. For example the dishwasher was replaced twice and never worked properly. It took them forever to replace the dishwasher and the dryer was replaced and still had issues with the drying. Another issue we had at Folmar is when they were doing work in the back yard. Without asking permission the workman used our water to water the grass, this in turn made our water bill increase dramatically. I brought this to attention to Bluekey properties and to no avail we had no response until again I pestered them to death.
The problems we had at Palmer go on an on. One thing I do want to mention the girls had a mouse in our house for at least a month and all they did was set mouse traps after at least a week and a half of texting. I have sent several messages to the management company with our many issues and to no avail rarely was answered unless I pestered them to death. I came frequently to Troy and witnessed these issues.

As I mentioned earlier we moved our daughter who took over the lease of another college student that had graduated. When we moved in the room at Folmar St. the room we dirty the blinds were broken and the bathroom was filthy. I had to clean her bedroom and had to follow up on the blinds for several months.

Hands down, there are few things in life that are more irritating than a bad landlord.
Typically tenants are trapped by their lease, so they are powerless to combat landlord deficiencies until the lease expires. Our experience at Folmar St. was terrible. First I want to say that the management company, Bluekey Properties ignored most of my text and calls. When they did respond to problems they Band-Aid the issue that needed repair.

I have recently contacted 12+ people that have rented from Bluekey property who have had the same experience as I have.
The itemized statement and charges we were sent were absurd. Who gets charged with normal wear and tear. I want to add that we shampooed the carpet, cleaned the refrigerator, spotlessly cleaned the stove and refrigerator. We spent two full days making sure the apartment was ready for a new tenant and still was charged with carpet cleaning and cleaning and painting etc. We also were charged for issues that were already there when my daughter moved in a year ago. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE WHEN YOU MOVE OUT!! Very Disappointed

Do not rent any properties from these slum lords and the dilapidated houses they represent. With that, forget about getting your security deposit back, they will try to steal it and WONT return it. Stay away!
