January 2025 Updates
Still have not seen the amount of funds remaining from my client account or reimbursement promised. Shady new business owner, Edwina Pounds.

December Update
I am doing my monthly post a little early because of the holidays. And I will continue until EDWINA ROY-POUNDS, new owner does what's right. Bob Gunson spent well over 59+ years serving his customers with dignyand respect. If the job wasn't done correctly, he addressed the issues. Unfortunately, EDWINA doesn't have the same ethics. She promised to refund poor workmanship by handyman, which I prepaid, along with the cash balance on my account, total $500. Edwina obviously does not have the ethics to do what's right.

Still no return of funds. I will continue to post monthly in hopes that one day she will return $$$. Interesting business model. Hope that dissatisfied customers will go away. Sigh.

Still no return of $$$
I most likely will never see my promised refund / reimbursement. In the meantime, I will discontinue to share my dissatisfaction every month with the new owner of the business.

Still no return of $$$. Edwina Roy Pounds is new owner. Not an ethical business owner.

UPDATE August 17th. Has not returned remaining funds on account and reimbursement from the shoddy handyman repair. Interesting way to conduct a business.

Unfortunately Bob Gunson has sold the business. The new owner Edwina does not have the same standards and ethics as Bob. I have asked repeatedly for the balance on the property account since February and reimbursement for shoddy repairs by her handyman. The invoices should not have been paid without confirming the work was done correctly. She’s always handy with an excuse and when that doesn’t work, she stops responding to emails. I would take her to small claims court but unfortunately the company name is still under Bob‘s name and she knows I won’t sue him.

I sent this to her in February. “I don't think I am a good customer for a property management firm and may not have the temperament to be a landlord, so it's probably best if I sell the property.” I should have been honest and that I didn’t have confidence in her and was tired of the excuses. I didn’t want to hurt Bob‘s feelings; that was wrong.

She agreed to send me the balance on account and reimbursement for $500. It’s been 4 months.

There are plenty of local honest property managers who will handle your business with integrity and attention to detail. Hire anyone but Bob Gunson Real Estate and Property Management.

Lived at their 10th street property 6 years and never had a single request go smoothly. Always got attitude when calling in repairs. Repair folks sent to my home always unprofessional and late. Weekly gardner always yelling outside my window, and even verbally accosted me multiple times when i would ask him yo please keep his foul language away from my window. He even flooded our unit when pressure washing and yelled profanity at us when we tried to signal to him. I have moved and upon requesting 2 walkthroughs, have been late to appointments. No respect for people's time.
The unit has mold growing in the walls that i have tried to clean and it grows back. The basement has a rat and flea problem that goes unaddressed. The water has orange floating sediment that has stained the water surfaces and when we reported it we were told to contact the city. Pipes that ran thru my storage leaking sewage or rusted water on my belongings. This was never addressed when reported. Window leak air and also do not open, also not fully addressed when reported.
All this and the rent continues to increase without upgrades or even basic maintenance. The unit was not even painted, nor carpet stretched when I moved in 6 years ago.
If I could have moved sooner I would have.
