Terrible experience. Decided we wanted to try out a new motel for fun. When we drove up at 9pm the whole place was deserted, besides one lonely truck. The manager gave us a room on the first floor and it was absolutely disgusting. The whole room reeked of cigarette smoke, there were stains on the carpets and bedding. The bedding wasn’t washed and had dirt and hair in it. The floor wasn’t vacuumed either, so giant clumps of dust and dirt were built up everywhere. It seemed like someone had been living in there for a long time. We decided to give him the benefit of the doubt (our mistake) and change rooms, he gave us one upstairs. That room was in identical condition, short of it not smelling like a casino full of farts and cigarettes. It was dirty as well, I found the previous tenants eyeglasses behind the nightstand as well as tons of dirt, hair and grime. It was just so gross, I don’t mind dealing with uncomfortable motels at times but this was by far the worst motel/hotel I have ever stayed at. We called him at the front desk again and explained the situation and asked for a refund. He said no because ā€œhe doesn’t know what we did in thereā€ and couldn’t justify that the room was ā€œcleanā€ even though it was disgusting when we walked in, and we were in there only for 20 minutes contemplating what to do or where to go, or to just sleep in the car because we are in the middle of nowhere. The room was the exact way we left it and yet he still denied full refund and argued with us continually that ā€œhe runs a businessā€ and that ā€œyou get what you pay forā€. We mentioned these reviews to him that sadly we saw afterwards of being there, and he said ā€œthen you should’ve known better.ā€ We were in shock obviously because this grumpy old man just scammed the eyeballs out of us with the photos and supposed charm and then blamed us for the fact he is a terrible manager and can’t keep his own hotel clean. I’m sure years ago in the way distant past it was decent but now I can tell you all for certain, NEVER GO HERE. Unless you like to be disgusted, degraded and robbed lol. -10000/10 would never stay again. We decided to drive to Brawley and stayed at the Brawley Inn. Same price, clean rooms and kind staff

Let me start off by saying that this hotel is straight false advertisement, The outside looks really nice, but once you get into the hotel room and actually sit down, I noticed that all on the rug next to my bed, there was a lot of dead skin like someone was taking off their skin from their fingers or their toes and just dropping them all over the floor. Dust all on top of the refrigerator and microwave, I opened both the refrigerator microwave and they was Disgusting inside like they’ve never been cleaned it. In between the bed and the fridge, there are dead spiders And other creepy crawlies. Whenever you standu at a hotel, there’s always next to the sink an ice bucket and cups, The cup was ceramic and full of dust on the top of it, the ice bucket had a lid full of dust on the top. I ran my finger through the whole top of both and I collected dust. The bedsheets and pillow sheets had a bunch of stains on them. The walls had stains like blood or someone sneezed blood onto the wall and never got cleaned. I ended up checking myself out and told the owner, He was rude about it and told me that I should’ve mentioned something for the very beginning when I first walked in the room, which I told him that I went to go get food, sat down, ate on the table and didn’t start noticing things until I started looking around, He said business is business and I get no refund. For some reason, he brought up Biden and I told him that it’s not about Biden or Trump, that it’s about bad business and his hotel being disgusting. He mentioned again that I should’ve told him from the beginning and I told him for what was he gonna go into my room and vacuum the whole room and wipe it down? I asked him if he was gonna change the whole bed out and clean out the refrigerator and microwave? All he said is that he works closely with the county and I told him that hopefully he does because I will be reporting it to the health department with all the pictures and videos that I have. Worst service and cleanliness, I have ever gotten staying at a hotel and I’ve stayed at some pretty bad looking hotels

I’m not one to usually leave a review, but this is definitely the WORST motel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty and smelled bad. The door that adjoins the room next door was UNLOCKED and as a woman staying alone, there was a man staying next door for a while. I had to put stuff against it to make sure he couldn’t get in. The manager walked into the room multiple times before I could answer the door. There was HUMAN FECES on the front door and on the spinning chair. The lady was very sweet, but I’ve heard some real bad things about the male manager. Drive a few more miles to the Niland Inn. The manager there is lovely and the rooms are clean.

One of the grossest hotels I've ever had to stay at.

First room we were given had cockroaches crawling out of the sink. We brought this up to the owner and he accused us of lying and got super angry.

Second room thankfully had no bugs, but it was super gross too.

Unfortunately we had no other options because it was late at night when we arrived in town.

Ewww. I just couldn't believe it when I walked around the room. The room hadn't been cleaned like ever. Spiders, roaches and all sorts of critters inside the room. The tub looked like it hadn'tbeen cleaned in years. It looked like a room from the movie Saw! Questionable stains on the wall, desk, counters, sheets and the phone! It sounds like I'm exaggerated but really people don't stay there. Spend the extra bucks and go to brawley if you can. Like this place cannot be legal. I don't understand how the owner is ok with how their rooms look. Disgusting.

DO NOT STAY HERE. I will start by saying that I travel a lot for work and have seen my fair share of nasty hotel rooms both nationally and abroad. This place has taken my #1 spot for the most nastiest, disgusting and unsafe room I have ever seen. My entire group refused to spend the night here. There was blood and other bodily fluid stains everywhere. Mold in the bathroom. Bugs in the bed and all over the room. The owners clearly run this business based off their no refund policy. They do not have a cleaning staff. The old couple who runs the place do everything, therefore, nothing is cleaned. There were also homeless people staying a steel shipping containers on the premises. To the owners, where is your pride and dignity? How do you sleep at night knowing that you do not do the bare minimum for your your OWN business. I recommend traveling a few miles south to Brawley. The Brawley Inn and Best Western are excellent and fairly priced.
