Living in direct contact with the largest body of water on the planet yet scientists and engineers of the Central Coast can't figure out how to water a cactus in Cambria. Here in California we don't fantasize about dystopian fiction stories we write them. Shall we examine these same coastal residents hustling to harness the sun's energy in the form of electricity? They fret and fuss of ways to collect and store mere fractions of the available solar power. (around 27% at best) They cram it into unstable piles of rare earth metals sourced from...?..well, I doubt they care. It is more than likely most other people have never given these "green technologies" a thoughtful review either.
More than 70% of our Earth's surface is water.
The sun shines down over 1000 watts per square meter on a clear day.
Evaporated ocean water yields steam, sea salt, and fresh distilled water.
Cost clearly can not be the issue if we are still constructing that 100 Billion dollar antique railway from Modesto to Wasco. So what is it?

I owned property in Cambria for over 2 decades, and this organization refused to provide me any "services" whatsoever. They imposed an anti-growth building moratorium under the phony pretense of water a shortage (over 20 years ago) by controlling who is allowed water service. Somehow, there seems to be plenty of water for tourist hotels 🤔. The only thing they ever served me with was continual invoices for not providing services. Yes... you have to pay the even though they provide you nothing. I found CCSD is a selfish organization that uses its power to impose its political agenda. If you are planning on a future in Cambria, beware you will be subject to the whims of this insufferable agency. Sick!
