We have lived here at two different occasions for the last 10 years. We have seen 3 managers and Mike maintenance man, who is a great guy and a pleasure to deal with. . All of the managers have been very nice and our newest manager Shelby is also wonderful. They are busy but always handle the situations that have happened over the years. The contractors that they hire are respectful and good at what they do. The rent is reasonable and we are very happy here. It is close to some great places to eat and 2 pharmacies. It's rather centrally located in that you can get to to route 50 a few ways and really close to Green valley road which can take you a lot of places and not use the freeway. It is close to Cameron park airport and park and rides. All in all,it's a great place to live.

Currently living here 7/22. Within 6 months of living here the water heater gave out and the A/C stopped working. The water heater took a week for them to finally put a new one in. The A/C will hopefully be fixed faster than that. I emailed them 2.5hrs before they closed and tried calling and haven't gotten a reply. The apartment is almost to 90 degrees and I have a dog who is sensitive to heat. Upon moving in, there was a big crack in the seam of the front door allowing any bugs inside. They said they could fix it if I was okay with the door not being able to close. I'll take leaky door seam over the door not staying closed. We were also told that our fireplace that does not work, will not be fixed due to the company no longer being in business. Rent did not change due to the fireplace not ever being fixed even though rent took into consideration a working fireplace. Hardly any of the wall outlets could hold a plug. The coaxial cable doesn't work and there is no way of fixing it. The pet owners of this complex are disgusting. There are quite a few owners who don't pick up after their dog which makes for a wonderful smell and site when walking around getting 'fresh' air.

I was here for a year. The complex is fairly quite. Sometimes you'll get noisy neighbors yelling at each other and others that drive through with loud music. It was pretty clean for the most part. I lived by a huge oak tree and that left a mess everywhere and sometimes the leaves and debris will stay there for a week or two. It also created a ton of bugs to gather around my front door and patio, which I can't stand because I hate bugs! The second bathroom had a weird mold smell that won't go away unless you leave the door open. The water heater was pretty new; however, it started to emit this sickly, sweet smell that I could not stand. It was not taken care of. The worst thing about my apartment was that one or two of my neighbors smoked marijuana indoors and that smell came over into my bathroom/room and sometimes living room and kitchen. I think I reported it more than 5 times and all that was done was two or three letters posted to the doors of the apartments connected to mine. I gave up reporting it, bought several air filter fans, which worked for the most part, and moved out as soon as my lease was up. I probably wouldn't move back in because of the weird smells. I've never had this problem before, and I have lived in over 10 apartments, so that says a lot or I've been pretty lucky : )

When first moving back to El Dorado County, it was my hope to move in to Cameron Oaks. It has everything I want as far as spacious apartments with washer/dryer, central heat and air but most of all the gym, pool and spa. I moved from a very luxurious apartment complex in Yolo County and wanted to find something reasonable but with all the great perks. Not only did I find that here, but nestled in with a little community of tightly knit people as well as a friendly and professional staff and maintenance crew. I could not be more settled in to my forever home. I don't want the upkeep of a home and got in place of that my amenities for an awesome price. I would recommend living here as it offers great schools, libraries, recreation centers and the beautiful and fun Cameron Park Lake. Cameron Oaks is everything I thought it would be and more.

I have been trying to get a hold of someone here to look at an apartment. I have been trying over a month now and have even stopped by on the days someone is supposed to be there. I have not had any luck trying to get a hold of someone

I have been trying to contact this place multiple times leaving them voicemails, sending emails through their website, and rent apps, and yet no one is contacting me back.. What kind of place doesn't call prospective renters back!!.. That's not a very good business practice.. If they are like this now, how would it really be living there when there are issues during that time etc.. quite concerning..

Update: They did contact me after my posting, and I am more satisfied than I was previously.

Have lived here about two and half years. Office staff is friendly and quick to respond to maintenance issues.
