Jose provided excellent service with our drain issue. He quickly identified that the pipe was not properly sealed and secured, and went the extra mile to replace it with a better-fitting pipe. His professionalism and attention to detail were truly commendable. We appreciate the support from the Carmel Creek maintenance team.

Jose Guerrero did an exceptional job fixing my shower. Not only was he professional, efficient, and meticulous in his work, but he also had a great attitude and positive energy. He takes real pride in what he does, and it shows.

I only toured the community and didn't choose to stay here because at the time of our renting the units couldn't offer the view we liked.
It's a beautiful community with some of the best locations I've seen, and a variety of layouts available. The community offers a variety of different homes with a lot of space, parking, and seems to be well maintained. Props to Justin, who's been fantastic in organizing and facilitating our touring of the apartments.

The Maintenance Staff at Carmel Creek Apartments are deserve the full 5 stars, even 10 if it was possible. The Maintenance Staff at Carmel Creek Apartments is amazing. Not only are the very responsive and knowledgeable, but also the are very kind and always have a smile to share. Rene is a leader in support and attention to detail in ensuring wonderful experiences. We have had wonderful experiences with the rest of the Maintenance team as well, especially Hector. A recent addition to the Carmel Creek apartments Maintenance team Javier Davalos has been of the same exact caliber- he was very responsive, thorough in his investigation of the problem under our sink and
quick to resolve it.
Essex though, the owners of the complex, increase the rent to the maximum they legally can every single opportunity they can. Meanwhile, they cut costs every where they can so got rid of the on-site Leasing Office & free carpet washing that used to come with renewing your lease.

The maintenance team at Carmel creek is amazing. They fix any issue I have really fast and always communicate well on the timing. I recently had a dishwasher stop working and a small kitchen sink leak. Jorge Gomez took a look at my dishwasher right away and ordered a new one rather than trying to replace any parts because it was a little old. Jorge installed the new dishwasher and fixed my kitchen sink leak in about 30 minutes. Great maintenance team that is on site and very responsive.

The only thing "luxury" about this place is the price tag. The advertisements on their webpage are FALSE - fitness center (fine), expanded sundeck with BBQ (half usually broken) area and lounge seating, movie theater (not working), library (NOT open to residents), and clubhouse with full kitchen (closed after 5pm, furniture in terrible condition - ripped chair seats, etc), the pool is not heated, the spa is constantly disgusting and/or out of order, the security gate is broken more than half the time, security that does not patrol unless called.
We pay over $4,400/month, they raised our rent 7% after a year; above the market value and higher than updated units for new people moving in. When we asked about it, they told us to move to one of the open units (at our own expense of course) that had a 'promotion', then our vacated unit would be up for promotion. Lol?! So as loyal, paying on time tenants we get the privilege of being price gouged! We don't have any updates in our unit - no remodeled kitchen or bath, no wood floors, old ass appliances. We have had to have every single appliance replaced in the last year. Water leaks in the garage 3 times, damaging electrical outlets and our belongings. Zero insulation that makes the electric bills high. Office staff screen the calls and usually only respond via text. Numerous tenants with mold damage being forced to move 'immediately', management won't pay for their move to a new unit and instead has told them to file a claim with their renters insurance to have insurance pay for it and hire an attorney for a copy of the mold report.

The location - close to the beach and freeways is great ... other than that, can't wait to move out!

Don't move to carmel creek your children aren't allowed to play outside they allow dogs to bark continuously non stop oh n dogs are allowed to pee onto the garages and the staff plays favorites and allows some families to do things while they complain about other families non stop other families can violation lease without repercussions but certain families can't even have children playing outside look at this car it violates the lease but it's been sitting for months some families get complaints daily while others get to do whatever they want including breaking into your garages and vandalizing your property but the complex does nothing about it, oh n if you like spiders, roaches, mice n ants your in the right conplex cause they don't do pest control either but watch me get put out for telling the truth, the complex is lying to save face cause they don't want prospective tenants to be scared away by the truth, Kids aren't even allowed to play and be children it's a problem the dogs bark continuously non stop n no does anything don't waste your time or money on dis horrible neighborhood
