Residents are respected individually and have freedom of movement on and off the campus. New management is present to oversee rights and care of accepted residents, providing some healthcare, personal care and guidance, nutritious food and general cleanliness. 24 hour supervision is present and personal needs are met any hour of the day. Doctors, nurses and caseworkers are regular visitors providing services as needed. Residents receive medications prescribed 4 times daily and are encouraged to follow medical directions fully; doctors caseworkers, and family are informed when directions are not followed. Residents are mentally challenged adults under some medical requirements due to some inabilities to fully or safely care for themselves and this facility attempts to comply with all state and county requirements to those ends. It ain't heaven, but most residents like it.

I lived here many, many years ago when Nick and Lori owned it. My biggest mistake was moving into independent living. Nick probably hates me as I married his staff housekeeper. I'm divorced maybe 10 years now and regret leaving. Probably the best years of my life were at Casa De Oro Guest Home.
The facility is nice.
