Probably one of my favorite apartments i ever rented. If you love the outdoors and being about 15 to 20 minutes from work at Menomonie or Eau Claire it is a great spot for you. Theres a trout stream and park that stretches into town right behind the apartments and a great area to walk your dog if you have one. The creek runs down into red cedar as a small waterfall under the bridge in town and theres several small lakes for fishing and kayaking nearby with river access too. I couldnt have asked for better neighbors as we helped each other numerous times during the winter when the snow got bad either outside the apartments or in the lots. Maintenance was pretty quick both for snow and for apartment issues. Management was very understanding and helpful during covid for me.

We had a very good experience renting here. Maintenance requests were always complete within a day or two and we received our full security deposit back. People who are posting bad reviews because of little maintenance issues like staining or cheap door knobs need to understand they're old apartments and that's why the rent is half or less of what a new apartment rents for. Tour the apartment before you rent it and if it's not good enough for you don't rent there (there are better and more expensive places to rent all over). And, i can attest they don't "steal" your security deposit unless you destroy their place 😉 it's a cheaper and older place but be had nothing but good experiences with the management.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. The management is biased. They have their own maintenance man living in the same residential space, which at first seems nice. But in all reality it comes back to haunt you. The maintenance man told me I should buy a lead for my dog so I didn't have to have her on a leash. Well I got in trouble for tying her up outside. The neighbors threatened me in my own apartment, and when I reported it to the management staff that I felt unsafe in my own "home" they asked me why I didn't call the police. A week later I was told I, ME, was disturbing the neighbors because my dog was barking.
I was only there for a year. When I left I shampooed all the carpets as my lease requested upon leave, and left the a/c unit in the storage space that their maintenance man let me use during my time there. In addition I replaced blinds that were damaged due to my nosey dog. I got charged for the installation of the blinds, because they were not those that they used (the new ones were cordless), i got charged for carpet cleaning, and for the removal of the a/c unit. I attempted to call them 3x to dispute the charges for the a/c unit and the shampooing, left a voice-mail, and never received a call back. Worst experience of my life and very traumatizing.
