I'm sorry to say, but Copperstone is awful. It is in a very high crime area. When I took an in-person tour yesterday, there was no prospective resident parking or ANY parking for the office, so I had to park across the road in resident parking. To tour the apartments, they didn't have a golf cart so I had to drive my own vehicle to the apartment that they wanted to show me and the lady didn't even wait outside it so that I would know where to go; I had to guess where she had gone. Once in the apartment, it was musty smelling, one of the cabinets hinges was very loose, the foundation out on the deck was crumbling, and the ICING ON THE CAKE A F'ng ROACH in the sink!!!! Yup. I told the girl nope, give me my license back and take me off of your list!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!!

My original review has since been removed. I would like to know why since I have lived here for nearly three years and only posted honestly about the horrors of living here. I will be reposting everything including new updates again. I highly recommend reading below so you're not stuck here, waiting for your lease to come up.

Most importantly they lost our ESA paperwork and continued to charge us for everything regarding our animals and claim they never received the paperwork. This is actually illegal and I'm filing a complaint with housing and if it's not rectified I'm meeting a lawyer. I highly recommend you proceed the same way since their management is incapable of handling things like mature adults and can't admit to mistakes. I don't know how this happened but I do want to know why they're discriminating against us.

I will not be silenced despite their managements attempts. After complaining about Shawna Woods to her manager, not only was no resolution made, the complaint was completely ignored, and instead they threatened to take legal action for harassment because I post openly about what's going on, and because I attempt to follow up with them regarding concerns. I will continue to exercise my freedom of speech, and report about the horrors of living here. Honestly this place is the biggest joke.

Shawna Woods is the leasing office manager and why, I don't know. She does not want to help tenants, she has never resolved a single issue for me. She has told me to stop perpetrators from attempting to break into my home myself, she has made up lease agreements and policy, she has made up laws, and she doesn't resolve any situation you may need to bring her way.

While I've lived here we've had many problems from the laundry room being locked early, not opening on days it should. When it is open, you have to occasionally ask the local druggie to leave.

They will tow your car if it's out of commission or has expired tabs, even if your vehicle in your assigned spot, but they won't tow vehicles parked in your spot. There aren't a lot of extra spare spots so you'll hear people honking at any hour of the night to get that one person's attention.

Crime is obviously high in this area and upon reporting that my apartment was nearly broken into, Shawna Woods advised that in the future we need to stop the perpetrators ourselves to prevent property damage.

Maintance requests are also a pain the absolute behind. I've had to make multiple requests, a few are fulfilled pretty timely, but I've also had to threaten withholding rent in order for them to finally come fix my kitchen light. My toilet is also forever facing my tub because their maintance man came in high and angled it. So just good luck.

To further this, they do lock tenants out of the mailroom and will not change their policy despite the complaints. If you are locked out of the mailroom, I recommend calling the authorities because no peaceful solution can be made. I just had to do so myself.

Also they've responded and told me to call a number that isn't working. How convenient.

I live in Copperestone since 2022.
I had one bedroom and had problem with my noisy neighbor. They nocked their door after 2:00 AM at least 4th time in a week. Although it was smoke free property they smoked in front of my door. Finally after couple months complained, management stopped them but they smoked inside their apartment and I smelled it inside my apartment. I changed my apartment and the maintenance is not 24 hours. This is my second time I called for lock bath and I am still waiting. They added an emergency phone number but never responded and mailbox is full. Last time I called for my bathroom Saturday and nobody responded since next Monday after 2 pm. The maintenance guy told me Sunday was close and nobody was there. Please I am still waiting for my bathroom to help me… today is April 2025 and this is my second review I left my apartment for ever and really happy right now. have experience at least 5 properties during last 10 years in Oregon and Washington.
I tried to call you guys several times before I move. regarding Shawna behavior I couldn’t connect I met different people in this property office and maintenance in this 3 years. They were really friendly except Shawna. You guys have permission to call me anytime after 2pm. My phone, email address and new resident address still is in my profile. I already told her the only reason I am really happy to leave here I don’t need to see you anymore. Although I am really patient and respectful person I think if I didn’t have accent she may was respectful and feeling does she racist ? Does she has mental issues . Never seen any hospitality, she is aggressive, rude no respects. It was my first time met property management like her. Thought she has really awful reviews I don’t know why never changed her. I am really happy for my new property management and team.

Maintenance have been a great attribute to Cooperstone apartments. The maintenance team is quick to respond in a timely manner and leave notes to inform you they completed a maintenance request when your not at home 😉.

Just reading the reviews from within' the past 2 years...sounds like it has been getting worse at the apts. To think I thought about renting here. Glad I read the reviews. Sounds horrible. Word of mouth travels fast. Hopefully they clean it up.

Copperstone has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee, where if you're dissatisfied with you residency they will take "action" to accommodate or may qualify to end your lease early. Well, we have been dissatisfied over a month... since late August. Which is now 9 months into our lease here.
Since day one here I've had loud neighbors, people camping outside my door, hanging around all hours of the day including all night, 7 days a week, off leash dogs that will attack my leashed/muzzled dog, unattended and unsupervised dogs who's owners do not clean up after or make the effort to.
My neighbors apartment reeks heavy with fentynal and welcomes other drug users who will camp around the complex buildings, in bushes and laundry facilities.
Also people will go through garbage and bring garbage and store carts and random furniture.
Lots of cats roaming around unsupervised.
Management does not care about reports that I've made, and police does not care either as this is a normality they have accommodated to and welcomed.
Car break ins, and HOME BREAK INS. I have watched someone break into my front neighbors home more than 2 times now.
Loud knocking and loud banging like if someone is desperately trying to get in as if it were life or death. My entry walls shake during late hours (2AM-6AM) due to the banging sometimes.
You wake up jump scared thinking swat is at your door.
You WILL not get through a full time work week here because you will not get sleep. Goodluck paying your bills and rent.
Lots of domestic abuse and violence, and yelling.
I have witnessed 2 fights living here now, including a man beating on a woman across the next building.
You will have to remove people and possibly end up in a violent situation with them due to already feeling unsafe.
Homeless people will also camp outside the APARTMENT ENTRY OFFICE. LITERALLY.
Thank you Copperstone for taking $2,000 to provide an accomading lifestyle among trash littering, drug users, encampments blocking entry, dog shit everywhere, drug foils, needles, and off leash aggressive dogs.

Rent increases are too expensive for this area. Office Management has terrible records keeping.
Extremely over priced for what you get. In unit washer/dryer? Nope. heard gunshots once a year over several years. Don't walk around at night. Better value in Bothell and Kirkland and better safety.
