I had rented an apartment from CPM in Ashland on Siskiyou. They were always prompt on responding to my needs as a tenant and I had just dealt with the owner as my original property manager left. He helped with my move out and deposit and was very considerate. They took a small carpet cleaning fee to shampoo as I didn't do it. (I was very thorough cleaning everything else though and it paid off!) They sent technicians to fix the AC when it didn't work well, and they fixed other items when needed and even replaced the broken washer / dryer in my unit with a new one so I could wash clothes and have a good experience!

For a property management company I wasn't expecting the great service I got from them. I did infact get a great landlord through them though! I would recommend using them and if I ever live in the area again they will be my first go to !

Ashland CPM is great! I worked with both Angela and Johana to process everything for the townhome we are in now! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE FROM A VULNERABLE COMMUNITY. CPM tries to charge you fees if you don't even live there and you're just visiting, and you can expect to have them breathing down your neck if you rent from them. IF YOU ARE YOUNG, A COLLEGE STUDENT, OR OF ANY VULNERABLE COMMUNITY CPM IS NOT SAFE! LIVE ELSEWHERE.

Now that I am out of Ashland for good and never have to rely on this monopoly again, I finally feel comfortable writing a review. This company is overpriced, unprofessional, and tried to cheat me and my roommate out of our money on multiple occasions. Students who rent from CPM: be prepared to fight to keep your deposit. They will try to take advantage of you, especially if it is your first time renting. After receiving less than one third of our initial deposit, we asked for an itemized list and were subsequently refunded. If you look young or inexperienced, the people at the Ashland office are very dismissive of you. Thankfully my roommate did not take no for an answer, and would call them everyday for weeks in order to get something done (which I'm sure was very annoying). They accused us of having 2 extra cats() at the inspection of our house with no evidence, and then once we refuted it they never brought it up again. The way they handled that was rude and unprofessional. On top of that, the rent is extremely high for bad quality remodels. I could go on and on about the 3 years we rented from CPM, but I could sum it up in three words: rent somewhere else.

I've been renting from CPM for about a year and a half in 2 separate properties and my sister has been renting from them for over 3 years. We have always received great service and have been well taken care of. Every issue we have ever had has been solved within a few days and with very little to no problems.

The first place I rented from CPM, all but $100 of my deposit was returned because they needed to replace a filter for the AC and the stove coils and spill pans - both of which were listed in the rental agreement as my responsibility.

The rents do seem a little high compared to surrounding cities but it is my understanding that the Landlords of the properties set the prices not the Property Manager. In fact, I am told the apartment complex I currently live in has not seem a rent increase in over 3 years.

Based on my experience, I would recommend renting from CPM.

Ashland CPM and everyone I have worked with here are all very kind, prompt and beyond helpful. They sent me listings based on my needs and helped me find the perfect place for my family and I. They were willing to work with us when other property managements wouldn’t because of not the best credit and not very much rental history. They answered any questions I had and helped me switch applications to a new property when something better came along with no complaint and did it swiftly and got us re-approved for the new location within a few days and kept us updated without us having to ask which I Really appreciated. I would definitely recommend renting with them.

It's a mixed bag. Incredibly expensive to get into a place, and of course the market drives that. Poor maintence--you literally have to be so persistent to get service. Repeatedly had my garbage disposal break and it was going to be two weeks before they could get someone out and the sink was backing up into the dishwasher and onto the floor. They told me not to use the sink, so I will wash dishes where? The shared laundry room is always kept nice by the fella who cleans it, but you have to pull teeth to get the machines serviced and the light bulbs have been missing for months. Literally had a broken dryer for months, and now we have a broken washer for months. The service is friendly and polite; bunch of ladies just doing their job. HOWEVER, the real icing on the cake is the rent increase they will hit you with after you've lived there for a year. It's happened to all of my neighbors and I just got my notice today. For the housing crisis we have had after the fires (and in general), I find it interesting. They must make a killing on turn over! Would probably rent from them again because they are literally a monopoly and the only game in town with properties that allow my two tiny dogs. Oh, but let's not forget the pet rent you will pay, on top of the large deposit you already paid. ?

This is by far THE WORST rental company I have ever had the displeasure of renting through. My house was completely INFESTED WITH RATS, and they told me "Ashland just gets rats everywhere in the winter" and sent a pest control company to set up one single trap under my home. The rats were in the walls, in the house, ate my dogs food through the bag, in the oven, and in the dryer! They were rude, never answered phone calls, and made me pay rent while I lived in a hotel due to the rats. The people who work here are sorry excuses for people, they monopolize all rentals in Ashland, and are beyond stingy when it comes to deposits. Absolutely under no circumstances would I ever recommend renting through this company. 0/10 disgusting. They should be shut down.
