Dahlen built a 50 foot wide retaining wall for us after a landslide threatened our home.

They were great to work with, did the job for a reasonable price and got it installed to beat the winter rains. Adam and Bryan were great to work with. They adjusted things for our needs and were always happy to put in extra effort.

You can't go wrong having them do your project.

Adam was so helpful last year after two huge trees fell on our property during the twin cyclone. His engineering background was invaluable to understanding the cost of repairs of our property. Also to note that when repairing our foundation a few years ago, he recommended putting a large box drain in our basement. Even with the atmospheric rivers of last year, our basement remained dry, and our home mold free. A great improvement for a minimal cost. We have recommended Dahlen Structural to two of our neighbors and both of them were extremely pleased with the quality of work that Adam and his team provided.

Adam was recommended to us by our neighbor (a realtor) when the French Drain behind our cottage collapsed, allowing water to seep in and ruin the back wall. Adam assessed the situation, came up with a solution and he and his team corrected the issue plus helped come up with a solution for the subsurface water under the cottage. I am a general contractor and was faced with a very challenging project. We were building 3 decks , attached to a house, that were on 3 different levels and on a hillside. Dahlen Structural had been recommended to perform the excavation and concrete work. I had to replace about 75' of retaining wall on my property. It was too tall and holding back a good portion of the footprint of my residence, so straight timber wasn't going to get the job done. I don't even remember how I found Adam and Dahlen Structural in the first place, but I'm sure glad I did. The I-beam and lagging wall that Adam and his crew built was exactly what I needed. I especially liked his old excavator operator Rigel, but he has since moved on, though I'm sure they have replaced him with someone equally skilled. These guys gave me a competitive bid, brought the job in on time with no change orders, and they left my hillside better than I found it. Adam is a real 'stand-up' guy. You won't find a nicer, more talented group of guys!

Dahlen did an excellent job on my sagging hill and foundation in the mountains. They proposed a solution which fit my budget and my expectations for a fix. They arrived on time, were easy to deal with and cleaned up after doing excellent work. I was able to sell my home at a great price, thanks to Dahlen's good work. Adam was the successful bidder for a retaining wall project at our property in Santa Cruz County in 2018. We couldn't have been more pleased with the result, either then or now after some more challenging winters. He and his crew were thorough, responsive, careful, timely, and somehow also affordable. We brought them back last year to shore up someone else's work, and we won't hesitate to call Adam again if the need arises.
