It has been a few years since I rented from them, but I wanted to circle back and make sure everyone was aware of how awful this company is. There was stuff left behind from the previous tenant and when I moved out I left it behind. This was noted on my check/out sheet when I moved in (It was a small filing cabinet). I was charged several hundred dollars to remove this item that wasn't even mine. I was also charged insane cleaning fees for a house that was in much better shape when I moved out than when I moved in. All of this was documented in the check in sheet. They elected to keep my security deposit and send an absurd bill in a clear cash grab. I only had the bill reduced when I threatened legal action. Based on the reviews they haven't cleaned up their act. 0/5

Love working with them, they use our store to help them stage their apartments and all the staff have been a joy to work with.

Where to start because i already left a review that was either removed or not published. SO, maintence was coming in and out of the property on GEORGE ST in kaukauna I was occupying as a single female with a service dog alone. The maintenence man would request that I not be there when HE would do maintenance on the unit. Because I inquired why he was asking me to do electrical work through a text message when I had no qualifications . Aside from asking me not to be present in the unit and that being extremely inappropriate, the other maintenance man and a red truck, making my service dog, extremely uncomfortable, there is a photo attached of the fridge the rental property left inoperable for days on end, including the sink in which I was unable to access for clean water for my service dog; nor was I able to keep the unit clean to my specifications to access laundry or to do dishes SAFELY;
because that is where I plugged the fridge in due to the outlet being broken This is not a family-friendly nor a safe place for single women, women or women with children nor is it a safe place for anybody to rent from. this is a nreeding ground for predators... there was even a man outside my bushes, between the neighbors house and closed down bar called primesteer... ran him off because theres kids around here as well not just me and my dog. Needless to say, and with countless reviews to boot, this is not a trustworthy nor reputable landlord or tenant relationship to invest in. I advise anyone looking to rent from this rental company look elsewhere.. illegal surveillance, infringement on civil rights, and invasion of privacy among other things this rental property is deplorable. Shouldnt even exist

I really should’ve read the reviews before applying to this place. Seems like they have the same patterns. I just moved here from Arizona. I’ve never heard of having to apply prior to looking to a place. Nonetheless, we needed a place to live so we went ahead and applied. $70 down the drain. Background check was clear, SS number was clear, credit in the high 720s. I called asking to view the unit since I applied and Jamie on the phone said I’m denying you right now so no you cannot. I ask why and they cannot tell you why per “company policy”. Nothing about this company and the way they do things sits right with me. I’d save your time and look elsewhere for renting.

Loved working with them from day one!
The paperwork was easy to understand and they helped with any questions or concerns I had.
I’m especially grateful that they worked with me and the way in which they did.
For example, being kind and understanding about things that were out of my control and being autistic, when things don’t go smoothly or according to plan I am in mental and emotional distress. Their kindness and empathetic approach paired with their professionalism was top notch 10 out of 10. Highly recommend them for all you renting needs.

If I could give zero stars I would. My roommate and I applied to the unit on DePere street in Menasha. We have credit scores in the 750+, make triple the rent between us, no criminal history, excellent rental history ( have never been late on a payment), no monies against us, or judgements. I have two documented emotional service animals, I submitted all of the paper work my roommate and I paid $35 each, and looked forward to being accepted; we were just denied. They refused to explain why “per company policy” and refused to refund our money. It feels like an absolute scam. Don’t waste your time or your money and find some place else.

My family recently had a disappointing, to say the least, experience with this company after a family member passed away unexpectedly.

Within 15 days of their passing, we returned the keys to the office (after my parents were told 2 days after the incident that if we won’t clear out everything out of the apartment by the end of the month they’ll charge them next months rent). But when asked when can we hear from them about the security deposit or itemized list of what it was used for, my parents were told that 30-day notice was not given (stating it’s a state law).

In their grief, they did not have the energy to argue with the landlord. However, when I’ve searched for said law, I found that under our state law, the landlord is required to return the full deposit or provide an itemized list of any lawful deductions within 21 days after a tenant's death, with no exceptions for lack of notice.

While it's not too late to recover the unlawfully withheld funds, my parents opted not to pursue further action. The additional stress was too much to manage on top of their loss. However, I do not want this unethical behavior to go unnoticed.

The landlord disregarded the statute and took advantage of our grieving circumstances. I caution others renting here to know your rights, as landlords may not follow proper procedures, especially during difficult situations. Do not let unlawful deposit withholdings go unchallenged.

I hope by sharing this, other renters can better protect themselves when finalizing a lease after the loss of a loved one. Landlords should treat tenants ethically and lawfully during these times, not make them harder.

Terrible company. Not actually interested in renting out properties, they just collect profits from application fees. Don’t give them any money they won’t even communicate with you.
