Called today and spoke with Martin regarding renting a drain snake for our clogged toilet. After a few questions from Martin he declined to rent the equipment to me "because I don't want it to break". I told him my husband needed me to rent this drain snake so we could fix a problem after which he replied "then I'm going to need to speak with your husband before I rent it to you." He informed me of his 17 years of experience in plumbing and ultimately did not rent the equipment to us even after speaking with my husband. I ended up renting it from Mac's Market in Gridley where there was no request to speak with my husband prior to renting anything. Our goal was to fix a problem and Mac's Market helped us. It ended up being a quick and easy drain clean out with no broken equipment in the end. Thank you Mac's Market.

I was stressing out about renting a big machine to rip up my yard and borrowing a truck big enough to fit it. Marty at Del Mar Rentals didn't just help me hook it up to my own rig, he gave a 3 minute run down that had me workin like a pro! After hours of stressing I was home and done in less than an hour! If I need help in the future I am definitely going back, and I STRONGLY recommend you do too.

So we rented a car trailer to tow our jeep to Utah and back from Del Mar Rental here in Oroville. When we talked to them we where very honest with what we where towing and to ware. They said because of the distance they would give us 2 spair tires. And we would pay a higher charge for the wear and tare on the trailer for driving that distance. My husband voiced concerns of the condition the tires on the trailer where in. They said they would give us a trailer with "better tires". When my husband picked up the trailer on 4/13 it was the trailer he voiced concerns regarding the tires over with, and the same tires. And they only gave us 1 spare not the 2 like we agreed too. We where excited to get going and just went with it. That was our costly mistake. Before we even got out of Nevada on our way, one of the tires had a bubble in it and was showing the wires. We decided after a lot of debating to purchase a new tire and at the advise of the tire store, we put the spare on the trailer and took the original tire we where concerned about off. And use that as our spare as it was not in good shape. This way we would still have a spare incase, we had any other problems. Thankfully we did not. I took the trailer back yesterday and talked to the same guy who rented the trailer to us. I asked him about gettng reimbursed for the purchase of the new tire. Had we been given the 2 spares we would not have had to buy one. He told me that 1) they could have gotten the tire cheaper. (When you are out in the middle of no where, your options are limited.) 2) that the guy would talk to his boss because we really didn't need to buy the tire. Because we didn't need a spare. He said he would let me know in a couple of hours. Well he never called. My husband stopped by on his way home from work and was told they would let us know by the end of the day. Still nothing. I went by this morning and talked to the same guy who is now saying we are going to be charged for the bad tire and would have to pay them for a new tire anyhow. His quote for the new tire was pretty much what we paid for the tire. So even though his boss (the owner of Del mar) told him we where just out the expense he was going to split it with us. At this point I am very frustrated and told him fine, but we would no longer do buisness with them nor would we ever recommend them.

So after everything we paid $467.00 to rent the trailer. $46.70 for the bad tire that was ready to blow out, even though the contract clearly says "natural wear from responsible use excepted", but it was wrote as if we damaged the tire ourselves. $200 for a new tire. He did give us $100. credit. But with paying for the unuseable tire that credit was kind of a joke.

I've been in the Oroville area for 30 years Del Mar rentals is always been good, anyone who says they're not Is a snapperhead, if you're going to go out of state buy your own Trailer, I've rented Trailers from them they've been more than fair with me always and people that I know, If I going to rent something and Delmore has it that's where I will go.

They hosed me. We rented a piece of equipment at 250/day on a saturday. They are closed on Sundays. On Monday we returned said equipment with a grand total of 1.3 hours of usage. They charged us two days worth. And we were repeat customers. Not any more.
