I moved here in January '21 to an upstairs 2 bdrm/2bath unit and it's truly been a delightful experience and place to live.

Ruby Love, the building manager, is very effective at managing the property and a pleasure to deal with. Chai who works with her is kind and always super helpful. They genuinely care and have high standards for the community.

We've only had a couple of service requests since we moved in and James the maintenance person was there in less than an hour. How many apartment complexes offer that speedy response? Ruby and Chai regularly to check in on us to see if we have any service requests or questions.

Other important things I look for when considering a place to live that fully check out at Desert Flower are:

1. Good construction: Solid buildings with thick concrete walls separating the units and floors. I have never heard neighbors and my downstairs neighbors told me they can't hear a thing! Beautiful 17 foot cathedral ceilings are not too shabby either. The rooms are spacious and the walk-in closets give the space a home feel. The Kitchen is modern with a high quality mosaic backsplash.

2. Climate control- The insulation and AC system are very reliable and effectively cool the space in the desert heat. Our electric bill is noticeably lower here.

3. Outdoor space and Mountain views- The apartment does not only have a huge front balcony but there is a balcony right outside the bedrooms too. They offer privacy and great mountain views. The front balcony has a high grade beautiful awning for privacy and protection.

4. Landscaping - The community is lush with trees, bushes and flowers. There is permanent staff taking care of the landscaping and pools on a daily basis. After a typical wind storm, the pools and hot tubs are cleaned immediately and are always pristine and ultra-clean. Also there are hummingbirds everywhere.

5. Neighbors - There is definitely a family community feeling at Desert Flower. I have already met several neighbors and it's obvious that Ruby and her team really vet and filter applicants carefully.

6. Covered parking and security gate- The gate provides another layer of security and the covered parking is a must-have in the desert to protect your vehicle from heat & sun damage.

7. Washer & Dryer in the unit- A great luxury and convenience to have that most if not all other area complexes do not offer.

8. Location- There are a lot stores walking distance, right across the street. Walgreens, Jensens, Ralphs, Petco and many more. The location is safe and away from the funky less ideal parts of town and away from all the tourists.

I had a bad experience with the apartment complex I lived prior, so I did a lot of research to find a place like Desert Flower and it paid off. When looking at reviews, make sure to consider the more recent ones that reflect the current situation. It's clear they have made huge improvements. Thanks again to Ruby and her team. You guys are doing a stellar job and it has not gone unnoticed.

I am ABSOLUTELY SICK OF THIS PLACE!!!!! As of 10:49 AM on Wednesday 12/11/2024 we have gone about 28 hours WITHOUT HOT WATER!!!!!!
That means no hot showers, no ability to use the dishwasher, no ability to hand wash dishes (due to the need of hot water to help cut grease) no hot water for the washing machine.
My boyfriend has a major neurological disorder that causes severe muscle spasms so a hot shower in the morning helps to alleviate some of the tightness.
He is now in SEVERE PAIN due to the inability to take a hot shower for 2 days in a row!!!

Do we get a rent concession for the MAJOR INCONVENIENCE? NOPE!!!!

Don’t even get me started about the fact that our rent is ABOVE MARKET!!! We pay $2,605 for 985 square feet…we don’t have a community center, a fitness center, tennis courts or a dog park. ZERO amenities aside from an in unit washer and dryer.

If our rent was late, there would be a problem. However, if the water goes out, no problem…

This is at least the 5th or 6th time this year that there has been a hot water issue!!!

I am unable to adequately relay how truly disgusted I am over this!!!

P.S. I have called the main office 6x this morning and nobody answers the phone…

We've lived here at Desert Flower for almost 3 months and have had a great experience so far. We needed a place to live until we bought a place when we moved to Palm Springs. The whole process was great, the staff here has been awesome, the front office people Chai and Ruby we're so helpful, guiding us through the process before we moved to Palm Springs. A friend got to come tour a unit and show us the apartment via FaceTime, so it helped us make our decision. We rented the 2 bedroom 2 bath and it's very spacious and a nice corner 2nd floor unit. Everyone we've met here has been super friendly. It's also a great location too! We had a few needed repairs which were done right away, they have a good maintenance guy here, very friendly and professional. We would recommend renting here.

I have lived here almost 3 years and during that time I’ve had 2 bicycles stolen and most recently I had a barbecue grill stolen off of my porch. The security here is basically nonexistent the pedestrian gates have never locked properly and have always been open or broken. When I went to inform the new the office manager about the situation with my grill that was stolen, she told me point-blank to my face. She did not care because she had been pulling away in her car at 4:10 early that day and told me she didn’t care, and then she almost ran over me intentionally so that I would leave her alone.. I’m not follow her to the gate and continue to try to explain to her what I was upset that she did not care The bicycles that were stolen they were outside. Also, they were locked up with chains in the front wheels were inside of my apartment and they still were stolen the property maintenance man literally told me they will take anything and walk away with it. It’s not chained down and that’s right because the gates are broken and people just walk right out of here.

I’ve lived here since 2020 and I love it. I’m in the single apartments and they’re pretty spacious. New management is great and maintenance is amazing. If I have any issues they respond within the same day or the next day. It’s a gated complex and it’s super safe. The only thing is the units are a bit dated and need some modernization, specially the cabinets (kitchen and bathroom) and the in unit washer/dryer units need some upgrading.

My daughter & I are relocating to the Palm Springs area. I was looking at apartments and came across these tranquil grounds at Desert Boutique Apts. I called to retrieve some information and spoke to Jenny who was very informational and friendly to speak with on the phone. She set use up an appointment with Jessie for the viewing. When we entered the Leasing office we were greeted immediately with a Friendly Smile and a "Hello". Just seeing his wonderful welcoming smile made my day. He immeditatly asked what we were looking for and continued to show use the property. Teresa also greeted us with a nice beautiful Smile. The grounds were quiet & you felt like you were in an Oasis. It was surrounded by beautiful Palm trees and other greenery. Jessie took his time to answer all mine & daughter questions. I can say in today's world you don't receive much professionalism & respect. Jessie checked All the marks. The apartment that we viewed was great. He put the stamp & icing on the cake for our decision of this property. We will be completing an application. Thanks Jenny, Jessie & Teresa!!!

I cannot believe some of the disgusting things people said in their reviews about the Management & the complex. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE. The management by far surpasses any small issues i may have with things neighbors do, get over it people, its called apartment living. The manager is great and has made many improvements and is constantly working on more. She is always responsive and polite and willing to help out. Its quiet, serene, and surrounded by trees and plants. I've lived here a little less then a year, and will continue to stay. The apartments are spacious and updated and well priced for being in the heart of Palm Springs.

When visiting this property I was greeted immediately with warm friendly smiles from Jesse and Teresa. While viewing the area the first thing I noticed was how well managed the grounds were kept up. Also, the mountain view was so serene!
