Who are you and what have you done to Alexis? I haven't heard from her in over a month and you're trying to pressure me into paying rent to you. I've never met you in person. I don't even know who you are. For all I know you're from Nigeria. Can I send the rent in snail mail to Zimbabwe? We made an appointment and you didn't show up and now I'm supposed to pay on some kind of portal. Good luck getting my credit card information you scam artist.

This places screwed my family and myself over. We gave them everything they asked for. Never ram our paperwork. And instead put a different tenant into the house we were trying to get into. Never once looked at our paperwork. We thankfully got our application fee back since they were too lazy to even run our stuff. Really screwed us over. The only affordable house to rent for my family of myself, my 3 children and their mother. I’m now currently homeless because Kandi couldn’t be proactive about anything and run our paperwork. We had well over 3x the income. Place is actually a POS. I also want to add, go look at the other reviews. Look how many people liked the negative reviews and look at how many liked the positive reviews. Most likely friends or family members of Kandi leaving positive reviews that aren’t even true. Stay far away from this place as possible.

I have rented from Divine for almost 8 years until I purchased a home. Kandi and her team have always been quick to respond and helpful when I had questions. They were a wonderful company to work with.

I would definitely recommend them for anyone who is wanting to rent in the area.

My honest review. I’ve read some negative reviews and honestly I don’t think it’s quite fair. Me and my partner rented from divine for two years and only stopped because we moved out of state. We got 100% of our deposit back minus the cleaning fee. There was only a cleaning fee because I ASKED them to sort the cleaning out for me because we ran out of time to do it ourselves. If you take care of the property like it was yours, there’s no reason to not get it back. We also had problems moving into our first choice of home, and Kandi worked with us to get us into a different home the next day. She was honestly great. The ONLY Thing I would negatively say is I feel a slight lack of urgency. But I am quite needy and poor after moving so I was really counting on getting at least some deposit and we get ALL of it back! But it took the whole 21 days plus a couple more. Which is fine with me, I was just stressing a little. Honestly if you just act and live like a normal human being and don’t trash the place, you shouldn’t have any problems. THANK YOU.

Kandi is an evil woman. She doesn't practice what she preaches and has no compassion or regard for human beings. Our realtor has worked with her before and has said she's a hateful person. They don't respond to maintenance calls and wanted to argue about air unit not failing and deck dettaching from the house when we lived there ourselves. Even tried to evict us from a house being sold with little notice. When anyone online says anything negatively about their mistreatment, she tries to dox them.

I was very interested in a home with divine properties. Everything seemed to go well, the nice man that showed us the home told us we had a chance if we had good debt to income ratio, which we do. After being told the process will take 3-5 days, we waited over 9 days to hear anything back and after they explained how we needed to make some changes for us to be considered, they finally forwarded over our application about 11 days after turning it in. After waiting 15 days total while possibly being displaced, we were unfortunately denied. There was a price drop in the home, and they did not run our income with the new price.. (either way it was something we can definitely afford) They made assumptions that we have car payments as well. When asked why the process took so long, they claimed it was due to trying to call our references, however our references recieved calls within 48 hours of turning in our application. Unprofessional to lie, This was definitely them lacking in urgency for their clients. They really don't care. They don't return calls or emails, in order to talk to someone you have to call multiple times. Given my situation, I couldn't have dedicated my time to a worse company. Our income is good, we had great references. Solid job, even a guarantor, this was so bad, that I wonder if they even did anything with my application.
I left a review on Facebook as well and they responded very unprofessionally by putting my financial situation online and completely ignored my concern with the fact that they lied and tossed us around for over 2 weeks. On top of everything else they also don't handle bad reviews well. Would of been nice for them to be as prompt with my application as they were with my bad review.

The owner Kandi is an example of a hometown Jackson girl who is hardworking, honest & takes pride in her small town business! Amador County is lucky to have her!
