If you are looking for a truck… this is the worst dealership to go to. I do not recommend this place at all. I purchased a truck from them and it was the biggest mistake I’ve made in a long time. The truck I bought started having issues within the first couple days of taking it off the lot. I reached out to them for service and they gave me the run around where they were not able to get a service machine until a week out because they were short staff. Ok that’s fine, so they sent the truck to some 3rd world Indian shop to have it checked out, mind you, I just drove it off the lot a couple days ago. 1 week goes by the trucks issues are still there, so I call them and they give me the same story, they don’t have time to look at it they are short-staffed. Long story short, the DEF system is completely broken (needs major work). I came to the dealership to figure out what we can do about this, given that I have purchased this truck recently. The service manager who is a complete D bag said that there is nothing they can do, but to charge me over 10k to replace the DEF system and everything around it filter, sensor, etc. They did not want to help me out at all knowing that they sold me a lemon truck. I ended up driving the truck of there lot and dealing with the issues elsewhere.

I’m basically writing this review to remind myself not to come to this particular Peterbilt for service.

The Parts Department personnel were good. They were reasonable people who wanted to solve the issue I was having with my truck.

My problem with this site was the service manager.
He was rude and condescending.
I went in asking “can you do this job for me?” - as in “are you capable? Do you have the ability to do this job? Because two other shops didn’t have the parts/tools”

The Service manager assumed I was asking them to do the work for free.

He very rudely, and arrogantly said “We don’t perform free service.”

Well, obviously. It’s Peterbilt. Nothing is for free. Everything is twice what you pay at an independent shop.
That wasn’t my expectation.

My question was *can* you do the job?
If so, could you please write up a work order and I will pay the bill when work is completed.

I would rather pay $1000 to get towed to an other shop all the way across town to avoid dealing with the service manager at this shop.

Absolutely unacceptable customer service on the Service side of this dealership.

(Parts counter was cool, though.)

Never buy batteries from here they will not cover your warranty. I have one year warranty on my batteries. They said leave your batteries here we will send to the company they will check is bad or not. You have to wait maybe 3 ,4 weeks. Buy batteries from volvo or freightliner they will check your battery right away and give you new battery.

Service manager had a nonchalant attitude, non initiated communication, I had to always initiate verbal communication to get info about our truck in shop....my fleet manager and I made several calls to them for info. Personally felt they did a rush job on truck and now it's back in shop a week later....Their services and staff were rude and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone...also I was charged over $5k for an EGR valve that put me back in shop a week later, ( what does that tell you)

“Bad business ethics”

Sad day when a company I looked so highly upon for years I now look at like a shady used car lot I will not be returning to buy my second truck from them next year or doing any of my service through them I bought a used truck from them it was located at another one of there locations PASCO, Wa but I was buying it at there “NEW” corporate location in Sumner I was told there had been a “150 point inspection” done on it and it was good to go so I asked if they could have the truck moved to there Marysville location so I wouldn’t have to drive back down to sumner from Anacortes not would they not do that they wouldn’t even bring it to the sumner location where I bought it from so I paid the $30,000 cash to them buying this truck site unseen thinking I could rely on the word and integrity of what I thought was a honorable company the next day I got a rent a car and drove 300 miles to PASCO to get it I get the truck there is over 2000 more miles on the odometer then what they advertised and what I was told so I take it home and the next time I start it up fault codes came up so I took it into the Marysville location and they went over the truck something like 32 different counts of one fault code coolant was leaking and air lines were leaking I called and informed them they said they would take care of the estimate for me then when they fixed the coolant leak and pressurized the system they found that the water pump was leaking and once they found that out they said they won’t cover anything further then the first estimate for just over $1100 now I’m stuck with the over $1300 estimate for the water pump that they would have known and had to fix if they had actually done there “150 point inspection” like they said they did I guess my brand new truck I’m purchasing next year will come from Kenworth I don’t recommend going here if you are a owner operator or first time buyer “doesn’t do the inspections”
“really kind of petty” Chad was a good salesman though stayed in constant contact with me and always replied back and was easy to talk to he is the only reason I am giving them one star if it weren’t for him they wouldn’t even be getting one star

I really had bad experience with dobbs peterbilt (sumner) i feel that sales person dont want to sell their trucks . I thought maybe just 1 sales person is like that but i had experience with all of them so really really bad experience not recommending . When i bought my truck there was no mattress , no fire extinguisher , nothing at all for safety matter . This is not enough yet after delivery i went on the road and air start leaking immediately i had to call them to fix that i dropped my truck Friday morning and they didn’t check until Monday evening i had to call them every single day for the update and they have no answer for that and finally after a week i got my truck. Their sales person never picked my call because they have no answer for all my issues their trucks are not DOT pass . 0 rating out of 5.

If I could leave ZERO stars I would! I work for a trucking company that primarily has Peterbilt trucks, and Dobbs Peterbilt has the ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

All of our drivers have been treated poorly when they've been sent there. Customer service people are on their personal cell phones and wont even put their phone down to deal with a REAL customer.

We have invested over a million dollars in these trucks only to be treated like trash by the people at this location. 10/10 would not recommend.

Nice new location with the same great staff.
I has had a good experience with a parts department.
And Kevin Kuran from rental/leasing department, he is real professional, and knows how to do his job well. His service level is outstanding, and always ready to go extra mile, just for helping as much as possible.
