I rented from Don and Cody for two years.

The application process was smooth when I applied in 2019 and everything went through quickly.

Throughout the two years living there Cody was always quick to respond to any issues we had. He sent out a repairman ASAP when we had an issue with our washing machine. Another time we had some dampness issues on the wall that we reported as soon as we noticed and they quickly sent someone to investigate, ended up re-roofing our unit and replacing a whole wall. They just generally responded quickly and professionally.

When it came time to move out they were also great. We were moving cross country and we were crunched on time. I reached out to Cody for the name of a cleaner and he said that since they were going to paint anyways he would be happy to schedule the cleaners for us after the painters came. We discussed a fair price and agreed to have it taken out of the security deposit. But he just reached out to let us know they were giving us the full deposit back. The deposit was sent out to us about 9 days after our lease ended.

I had a wonderful experience with Don and Cody. If I ever move back to the area they will be my first stop for a new place.

Not a good experience. Don Klein and Cody Weiss completely stopped responding to inquiries regarding my security deposit as soon as I moved out. There was a lot of judgement and inquisition as a young, successful individual. They were not quick to make fixes or respond to maintenance issues because they didn't want to be bothered.

A lot of these recent reviews are a joke!

They forced me to file a small claims court case in LA county to recoup my full security deposit back. I will update as the case proceeds.

Don Klein Management may be one of the worst experiences I've had trying to rent a place, if not the worst. My roommates and I exchanged phone calls and emails with Mr. Klein's office manager, Cody, for over two weeks. However, Cody was always slow to respond to any of our questions, and even after we had seen the place and turned in an early application he did not process it until specifically told to do so.

And after several days of waiting and paying for credit checks, we were told that not only did we not get the place, but as my roommates were moving from out of state we were never being seriously considered in the first place. I am sure Don Klein and his team are perfectly nice people, but unless you meet whatever hidden criteria they are looking for, no matter how professional you are or how quickly you get your paperwork in you will be out large amounts of time and money trying to rent from them.

We've had a really good experience with Don Klein MG. We always had great communication with Don and Cody, and we loved the apartment. We would definitely rent one of their properties again!

Worse company , they had a listing and once we were approved they stated “ we have another application who also was approved the one who can afford more rent gets it “ 😂 what ? Lol it’s not a auction. They also illegal wanted to charge extra and deposit for a dog with an esa , which they can’t do in California. Stay away.
