Absolute run-around. If I could give less of a review, I WOULD. I applied in mid May and approved in June... I was told everything you can imagine to prolong the process. I was waiting for tenant to vacate, then repairs and finially in August I seen the property in person. I had to make a list of concerns, I addressed with the leasing agent- deal breakers - but
I was repeatedly assured ALL REPAIRS WOULD BE COMPLETED BEFORE MOVE IN.
Only after signing the lease because being promised the home was being professionally cleaned and carpet replaced.
I 'took possession ' and nothing was finished, the walls and floors were filthy, broken appliances, bug infestation, black mold, leaks between floors.... and it's because there's to many people are involved. There's no one point of contact between you and Poplar.
So many issues I had to deal with owner directly- now I wasted my entire summer which is moving season.Waiting on a property that was supposed to be made ready and never was and now I need to move because no one will properly handle their responsibilities!
I HAD A FEELING SOMETHING WASNT RIGHT! SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH MY INSTINCTS! There are plenty of rental properties either straight from the owner, or with reputable management companies...Stay away from this one!

Please avoid this company!! Now they team up with Evernest, please be cautious!
We rent their property with a big dead tree next to it. During the windy days, the tree branches fell and wrecked many cars underneath it. We reported many times and many weeks in advance asking for emergency service to remove the dead tree. They didn’t act at all until more branches fell and wrecked my car and almost killed us.
We had to evacuate from the property ourselves considering the huge hazard of the remaining tree. However, after all of these, the Poplar Home teams disappeared and the property manager was not reachable until one month later.

The worse thing is that, after everything we have suffered, they refused to return our 1.5 month rent for those times we didn’t live there for huge safety concerns. They disappeared again.

We have turned to legal service, we will claim all our losses from court.

This cheat company wants to charge me 247 dollars for a water filter. What the hell is this. Is this even legal?

Update-
Poplar home has reduced the cost to 150+ ahahah this is a joke. Their maintenance guy spent 3 minutes here and trashed the filter in our trash. (Not that it matters) But they changed us for disposal ahahah.
We've been trying to get Jennifer Conway on the phone for a year ahahah she's has all these amazing reviews lol they have to be paid for and by fake people who don't have any other reviews. Is she even real.
Poplar is a trash company stay away FAR AWAY.

The listing company's phone number is impossible to reach. I called multiple times trying to get information about a rental property, but no one ever picked up. I applied for a tour through Redfin and Zillow, but no appointment was scheduled. Eventually, a third-party customer service company arranged a tour for me. After wasting my time visiting the property, I was told the house was already under contract. This company is a complete waste of time.

Sheilia McLaughlin is a very knowledgeable property manager and has been wonderful to work with. She knows about the Seattle area and provides valuable input to home owners. She is very nice to talk to and always on top of things.
Mheljohn is easily one of the best customer representative I have ever worked with. He goes out of his way to help us and is very very responsive to any questions we have.

I wish more people in their team are like Sheilia and Mheljohn! Thanks again guys

Poplar Management is letting their tenants live in biowaste and refuse to clean it despite maintenance requests and several emails. There is an unhoused Individual that is using drugs in the stair well and leaving drugs for the children to pick up. There is blood, vomit, feces, urine and they refuse to clean. My son has a bacterial infection from touching infected handrails with blood smeared on them. My son and I have to walk through vomit every morning to get him to school. There are drugs scattered around childrens toys. DO NOT USE POPLAR MANAGEMENT!!! THEY ARE A TERRIBLE COMPANY THAT ALLOWS THEIR RESIDENTS TO LIVE INHUMANLEY AND BREAKS THE LAW BASED ON RCW 59.18.060.
