It is usually a quite unpleasant experience dealing with property management agents, but dealing with Fry & Co has been completely different - response has always been quite prompt, the staff friendly and efficient.

Fry & Co proved to be the most inept, disorganised and shambolic management company I have ever had the misfortune of working with. They took over the management of my building in April '22. We had almost zero communication with our block manager for three months, and no services in regards to window cleaning, building cleaning or gardening. Emails went unanswered and we were consistently fobbed off by the management director. During our 12 month relationship with Fry & Co, we had three block managers (the first we were told had been 'let go', and the second who had a very poor grasp of the basics of property management). Thankfully we have now escaped Fry & Co's. The 5* reviews on here truly baffle me. Good luck to all who encounter this company, I think I make it clear that I do not recommend!

I could not be more relieved to be free from Fry & Co. They attempted to manage our property block for around 9 months, and I genuinely don’t think they could have done a worse job!!! Absolutely nothing got done, weeks went by without receiving any response, their attitude was generally at best, totally unbothered, and at worst rude, and we had at least 3 property managers in the 9 months we were with Fry’s. They claimed that this was not their fault because they had to “let people go” due to their ineptness, but this bids the question: why keep hiring inept people in the first place. If I could give any advice: do not go near Fry & Co with a bargepole!

We moved to Fry & Co in December 2022 after receiving next to no service from our previous agent. They were recommended by the solicitor that our block uses and I can honestly say that Fry have been outstanding from the start of our transition to them in October/November to today. We have got to know the whole team, who are friendly, responsive and get things done reactively as well as proactively. They have cleared a large backlog of tasks that had been festering for months and years with the previous agents and we genuinely feel totally confident in our day-to-day property manager and the team as a whole. They're even happy for you to pop in and have a face-to-face conversation with them, which is very refreshing!

I would be very happy to recommend them strongly to anyone considering changing from a mediocre agent.

Fry & Co deliver an exceptional service, Richard has an incredible focus on fairness, rigour and good governance, when it comes to being outstanding stewards of the properties they have been tasked to look after. The service from his team is first class, despite being a busy business we have always had the best attention, and never made to feel we may be a burden. I would recommend them unreservedly. Sue Meara has been looking after our property for many years, I would highly recommend her.

I have owned a flat for 35 years, and in that time there have been at least five management companies responsible for the block. Fry & Co have proved to be the most inept of them all.
They should improve their communications and deliver an improved service to their clients, who pay them to do this.

Thank you for your response Jonathan. I have owned the flat since the mid 80s, and my comments stand. I can only reiterate that improved communication from Fry & Co, making leaseholders feel like they are having the best representation by the management company, would be good. That has not been the case. You just cannot believe how unpleasant it is to have the flat swathed in protective covering for so long, and no idea of how much longer this must continue. There is a widespread feeling from those affected that Fry & Co has not considered this impact at all, as requests for information are either ignored or responded to without satisfactory answers being given.

Since Fry took over the management of our freehold in SW9 a couple of years ago, they have been excellent. Even though it’s only a small block, Lauren has kept on top of all the myriad of things that need to be done and I can’t fault her communication and diligence. I believe our property is in good hands. We are really grateful.

There is so! much I can say, but I literally do not have the time to detail my full experience. I will start by saying the sheer incompetence and negligence that Kanwal Parveen displayed during her tenure as the management agent for our block of flats. It is beyond belief that someone so utterly unfit for their role was allowed to continue in their position.

From day one, it was evident that Kanwal was completely out of her depth. Her lack of basic management skills was only surpassed by her shocking disregard for the well-being and concerns of the residents. She was consistently unresponsive, dismissive, and displayed a complete lack of understanding of the issues at hand.

To add insult to injury, her blatant disregard for basic protocol and legal boundaries was nothing short of astounding. She often leaving us in the dark about important matters. It was abundantly clear that she operated with a reckless disregard for the welfare of those she was supposed to serve.

Kanwal Parveen's tenure as our management agent was a waking nightmare. It is truly astonishing that she was allowed to continue in her role for as long as she did. Her performance was nothing short of a disgrace, and she should have been relieved of her duties long ago. The damage she has caused to the reputation of our block of flats is incalculable. Fry & Co. needs to seriously reconsider their hiring and management practices if they allowed someone like Kanwal to represent them.
