I cannot say enough good things about Ernie! He was the BEST we could ask for. My husband and I were first-time home buyers moving from FL to VA. Ernie made this so easy for us. He is extremely knowledgeable of the area, responds quickly, no BS - always honest and truthful, SO helpful in the process and what everything means, he goes above and beyond while viewing houses by checking in crawl spaces, looking at appliances, checking for damages, etc etc. Any time we had a question or needed something, he was always a quick call or text away with an answer. I emailed Melvin Jones at George RVA after reading reviews and seeing his buying/selling stats. Melvin followed up the next day. He came across as trustworthy, conscientious, friendly, driven, experienced and knowledgeable from the get-go. It was also immediately obvious that he makes it a priority to focus on what buyers want in a house.

I was already pre-approved for a mortgage, but as a first time homebuyer I knew nothing about shopping for best rates. Melvin educated me on this and many other aspects of home-buying. I was able to get a better rate with another lender by contacting other brokers he suggested.

Melvin was forthright, flexible with meet times and knew tons about the Richmond market. He never came across as sales-man-like or pushy and I never felt pressured or rushed. Plus, he's experienced in flipping houses, so he explained common shortcuts flippers take and what to look for. He definitely has a knack for connecting with people and understanding their needs.

And when it came time to write the offer? Melvin was savvy and strategic about what would appeal to the sellers and kept me in the loop during the bidding war that ensued. I ended up closing on my house 1 month after viewing it!

I'm very grateful for the efforts Melvin Jones made - I'm now a homeowner because of it.
