Five stars! After backpacking for 6 days, sleeping in sleeping bags, in a tent, and dealing with no bathroom in the mountains, Glacier Lodge is pure paradise. It’s exactly what you’re looking for—a peaceful retreat. Michelle and Andrew are incredibly helpful, assisting with anything you need. We stayed in cabin #14, which had a very comfortable bed and everything you need for cooking. If you don't bring food, you can grab essentials at their convenient store, which offers oatmeal, protein bars, snacks, drinks, and even items like Tylenol and allergy medicine. It truly feels like stepping back in time, with no TV or microwave—just a serene place to unwind and connect with nature. We even tried one of Andrew’s burgers, and it was delicious! Highly recommend for anyone seeking tranquility and a break from the hustle and bustle.

We usually stay at Parchers bur changed it up this past weekend up by booking a stay at Glacier Lodge Resort for quick fall getaway.

I almost don’t want to write about this place so it stays a hidden secret.

The grounds are beautiful, great view of the Sierras especially from the fish pond. Aspens and pines dot the property. Our dog loved the lawns, fish pond and access to Big pine creek. Also very easy access to the trails to South and North Fork
of Big Pine Creek.

Andrew and the other staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Cabin 16. It was rustic but well kept - had everything we needed. Very comfortable bed and sofa pullout in the living room. Kitchen, barhroom, wall heater, electricity, water all worked fine! No cell reception which is a plus. General store was well stocked.

It was quiet, relaxing, weekend perfect to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors! Thank you to the family and staff for keeping this place open and available! We will definitely be back!

A very disappointing camping experience! We were supposed to spend three nights at Glacier Lodge in our RV but we left after just two nights. The property is in a beautiful location but it is very poorly maintained. The RV sites are on a very steep hillside and are difficult to navigate with much larger than a 21 foot RV. There is trash everywhere and the bathroom for the campers was just plain gross. It is the dirtiest bathroom I have ever had to use at a campground. There are large holes in the walls and drywall is missing in many places. Duct tape was used on the toilet seat to repair a crack, there was no sink, there was a big garbage can overflowing with trash in the bathroom and there was no easily accessible, functioning shower for campers. We hadn't been told what was available for our usage, and I guess there was a shower in the main store...but the store wasn't open in the morning or in the evening when we would've wanted to shower. |It's very sad that this campground isn't maintained as this is such a beautiful spot and it's very quiet. Some elbow grease and TLC could go a long way here. |I had contacted the owners asking about some of our issues and finally requested a refund for at least one night when we just couldn't bring ourselves to stay here anymore. I haven't heard back from them at all. Not very good business practices.

Great location, so much potential.

We tried to contact the host and they ignored me twice. $40 a night is a little steep for what this campsite offers. General store was not open. Would love hand sanitizer in the bathroom. Will try again next year, excited to see what changes are made!

I will definitely be trying this campground just for the fact the camp owner seems awesome! Hahaha loved their response to people complaining about the bathroom! When I saw the picture I thought they are lucky to even have a toilet while camping!

Arrived expecting full hookups and was told that they haven’t had electricity in 2 years… might be time to update your online registration page! Place is run down and in serious need of some TLC and maintenance. The bathroom was horrible… an outhouse would have been better. Trash cans were over flowing for the entire time we were there. The only thing this has going for it is location, but if you are into roughing it stay at the state forest campground next door. At least they have clean bathrooms.! Hiking from here is all hard, but if you are in the shape to do it, views are amazing. Would not stay here again. And definitely do not recommend RVs going up or down the 10 mile road which gains 4,000 feet from Big Pine.

These cabins are definately rustic and old. That is not the reason for the two stars. I expected old, I did not expect that they would be so dirty. Screens do not fit, flies everywhere, the door didn't lock. The kitchen sink was black and rust stained. No coffe pot, when I asked they did not have one. |A lot of elbow grease and a few updates ant this has the potential to be very nice.
