I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with gowey title without legal representation. Big mistake. I had to put my mother in a dimentia care facility, clean out and sell her home.
I have learned the hard way gowey title is not a company of integrity. You could have imagined my dismay as I looked over the document after the sale of my 90+ year old mothers home. Mom was charged $10 e recording fee, $150 Document Prep, $1068 Owners Title insurance, $350 settlement agent fee, $60 recording fees, $510 wisconsin transfer tax.
Do not do any dealings with gowey title on your own. They will not look out for your interests at all. Sadly my elderly mothers home is sold. Seller beware of gowey title company. Get a representative to help you deal with them so you are not left paying fees you should not be responsible for.
