I called about renting some equipment, I spoke with a lady who spoke to me as if I was a child. She then lied and said they have to visually see any job site before they will rent any equipment to you. I’ve never had an equipment rental store tell me this, and I’ve rented a lot of equipment. Just knowing how impractical that would be for their business, I know it is a lie. Besides, what’s to stop me from taking it somewhere else after you see the spot I say I’m working? These people think customers are stupid. Spend your dollars somewhere else.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. We rented equipment from them and 10 days after we returned the unbroken equipment, they called us and said. “I’m going give you the chance to tell the truth.” It was the rudest conversation we have ever had with a local business. We did not break their equipment, and if had, we would have been a professional and addressed it. We have another project underway and will NOT be using the company or the sister company next door. I am disappointed that this kind of business is even in our town. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!

What a terrible experience! We do not recommend doing business here. We are locals and wanted to stay local with our business and money. We rented a piece of equipment for a one day job. We ended up having to work on the equipment for almost 8 hours so we could actually use it. We needed to have this job done so we could move on the the next phase of our job. Called the office multiple times & left messages. No return phone call. The quality of the equipment was so disappointing. Once we got someone on the phone to discuss this disappointing experience, they would not offer us any type of discount. They actually ended up charging our credit card more for the job. Although we were the ones that had to call in other people to help fix their broken equipment, they blamed us that it broke. We will be renting additional equipment, but definitely not from Gulf Shores Rental!

Truly, one of the most dishonest owners, Matt, I’ve ever run across. He will cheat you fast. His employees kind of drop hints to that. I just didn’t pick up on them, now I do. Too late. Stole our money without batting an eye. I would steer clear of this crook and his business practices. Just sad how people can operate.

I do not know this Terry person but that is the rudest person I have ever met and has no business ever working in any business that is customer service based. They came and picked up a piece of equipment for a sub contractor and used my plywood to shore up the equipment across the ditch. All I asked was they get my pressure treated wood out of the ditch and return it to where they got it. Which they refused. I wonder how terry would feel if someone through her expensive wood in the ditch? I wish I could give a negative number for this company and I will never do business there!

Jim was sweetest person and was trying to help us with rental equipment yesterday.... TERRY ON THE OTHER HAND! Well she needs a different job that doesn't involve speaking with people..... WOW!! She told me that she is SO GLAD to NOT do business with us.... Who tells someone that is trying to book a piece of equipment for A WEEK!! AND would be a recurring customer at that...... I just can't believe how TERRY spoke to me. The things she said and THEN HUNG UP ON ME!!!
I will NEVER rent from this company! I want be suggesting to any of my other friends with business either!!!!

I called for a concrete mixer they said they had one I could rent . Showed up they told me it's being rented at noon. So they had me drive over before telling me this information 1 hour and 10 minute round trip for nothing. So small businesses who aren't from the area don't do business here they will refuse to rent if a local calls in after you verified a price of equipment is available and you are on your way to get it.
