There have been many recent store & management changes at this location lately. The new manager is a breath of fresh air- so friendly, helpful, and great at providing customer service. She knows us as we frequent this Habitat, and she always visits, chats, and makes us feel welcome. The new manager is a great improvement over the previous one. Just being nice and friendly, is an improvement— but she has also worked very hard at improving the look of the entire store as well as what’s available for buying. Her hard work shows. Lastly the prices are better- which makes us want to buy more, and come back more often.

I went into the store last week to do my usual monthly shop and overhead a man, a tall red head, in the back ask his coworker if they heard that another “”n”” word” got shot over the weekend and was laughing about it. After some investigation with friends who also frequent this location, I found out that this man is actually one of the managers.

I was so disgusted by the conversation that i walked out leaving my full cart behind. There is enough hatred in the world today that employees of a volunteer organization should not be using that type of racist language.

I am retired and on a fixed income but would rather drive to Williston than support a store that encourages that type of culture. Shame on you, Milton Habitat. I reached out to the email on the website to address these concerns last Tuesday before airing them on Google but it’s been a week and no one has responded so I think others should know what type of people this business allows to manage their stores. Hopefully they will take this more seriously now that the public knows. 🙁

UPDATE:it’s been a week and no one’s reached out to give me contact info so I can discuss this further and I’ve heard that the employee received a promotion and now runs the store. Given the hate crimes I’ve heard about this week, I am not surprised, just disappointed that resource encourages it.

Everyone is so nice and the stores have really good stuff cheaper, sometimes the stuff is brand new you get cheaper then the original price and if you volunteer there you helping to be able to build affordable houses for people who really need it.

I love shopping at the Restore. I usually go to the one on Williston. They tend to have more home improvement stuff there. For everything else though, the one in Milton has to be my favorite because of the staff. Brandy I think her name is, very nice. Another is Lindsey. Very helpful. She's great with product info too. Especially antique glassware. Keep it up!

Well organized, friendly staff, great prices. Knowledgeable clerk, answered questions about their cause & volunteering. They accept clean and usable clothing, household goods, toys, furniture, etc during business hours only. Loose items need to be bagged or boxed, no need to sort. Currently taking donations.

Below is my first review…
Patronized the store again last week.l, I thought hard on writing this. No sight of the girls who helped me last time.
In fact I heard what I later now know to be the manager speaking of a black man derogatorily. And another as a r*tard
This is unacceptable behavior. I was a store manager for many years at a store grossing much more. If I spoke that way I’d be fired.
Training, coaching, and developing seems to be missing. I’m ashamed for him and the company. Whoever is in charge of this guy either doesn’t know (let’s hope this changes that) or is protecting him from surely what could be taken further than termination.
I will never return to this store, absolutely disgusting behavior.

I’d love to hear from a real boss about this. Feel free to contact me, what a shame. A disgrace to Milton.

Shopped here this week, was surprised and delighted to be helped by a couple staff members who ended up helping me greatly!…walked me to the products they suggested, and overall made the experience great. “Lindsey” and “Brooke” were the two staff names, if you shop at this location look for either of these two gems for any assistance needed! As a career customer service professional their service at a simple restore, was above and beyond!

Went to find a dresser. They had a few, but most were in rough shape. A good cleaning would have spruced up a few. I would expect to find items clean enough to purchase. As I looked around the store, I noticed This was true of lamps, tables and many other items. This is not my first visit, nor will it be my last, but I was disappointed in the lack of care for cleaning items before sale.
