As we approached retirement we decided to move to the Central Coast and build our dream custom home in Templeton. After searching for months and interviewing many contractors we selected Harrod Built. Without a doubt, we absolutely made the right choice! Michael and Chris were very comforting and supportive throughout the entire process. Our phone calls were always answered or returned in a timely matter, not like the typical “contractor time.” Every time we called with what we thought may be silly questions, they took the time to explain things and reassure us of the answers. Trying to build your dream home while living hundreds of miles away could have been a nightmare, but Michael and Chris handled everything that came their way and actually made our lives easier. All business was conducted in the most professional, efficient, kind manner, and to the highest of standards. Throughout the build Michael offered expert advice and when a challenge presented itself, he found the right person that could assist immediately. As construction projects go, there will always be challenges that come up and must be overcome. Michael and Chris had excellent communication about these challenges and kept us informed every step of the way. They are both logical, kind, calm, resourceful, down-to-earth and knowledgeable. We cannot say enough good things about Mike & Chris Harrod and the new Harrod Home we purchased from them in 2018. These guys are more than just great home builders, they stand behind their work’s quality and their customers.
After our one year warranty had expired we discovered a minor problem with the tub in 3rd bathroom. Kohler, the manufacturer, told us because it was cast iron a simple patch would not work. Harrod could have walked away as the one year warranty had expired.
Instead they spent well over $5,000 to replace the tub (and tile) with a brand new cast iron Kohler tub.
They never complained and I still feel so grateful
And thankful they were our builders.
These guys are AWESOME!!!
